You, well everyone, should sign-up for free Redbox alerts. It is quite nice getting a free game rental every so often.

No, it's I either I borrow it, buy it or pirate it. That's my three main options, I don't really rent games since I don't trust them enough. I've had bad experience renting games before so I never tried it again.

PSNow count? Other then that no, I'll buy a game if I want to play it.
My local EB games with plat card offers 10 days grace period to return games for full refund (store credit) if I don't like it bad enough I'll bring it back, or trade it in when I'm done or lose interest.
There's no more video stores around anymore, or I might rent games, but the option isn't there.

Another reason why I dont buy 'new' games from EB.You never know if you are getting a brand new game or someone elses returned copy. (as they put the discs in the box).
The other reason being they are a rip off.

I buy 90% of my games pre-owned anyway, if I buy new it better be factory sealed...
But I know what you mean. I've bought opened games at EB that they've tried to pass off as brand new, I have no issue calling them out on it and grab me a new one or sell it to me at the pre-owned price.

And the worst is you get a "new" game from the drawer. How do I know if they aren't being shifty and putting in a used game and charging me 60 frickin dollars. Back in the day, a new game was wrapped in cellophane.

That "new" game you're getting is the last new copy of the game. If you're that worried about it, you should have bought it new sooner, buy it pre-owned, or wait it out and get a new copy later. Hell, buy it pre-owned, beat it, then bring it back within seven days. Bam. Everyone wins.

Some stores do and at least if you buy online they always come shrink wrapped. At least they have been for me.

I used to rent games all the time and still do on occasion from Redbox. Those days are coming to and end though with games being tied to particular consoles and digital versions becoming the only version you can access. This is being done intentionally you know..to kill the second hand market. It's a shame really, they are forcing more and more people to find ways to pirate stuff.
