Do you own all three systems?

Oh yeah, those marathon sessions where there was a group of kids over, and you played from 5PM to like 2 in the morning, or until their mom told you to go to bed, whichever came first, lol! Especially those puzzle games (Zelda) or the ones where it took teamwork or skill (Contra). I definitely remember those days!

Those were fun times. When taking your console was a punishment and people would just cut off he game if they were losing. My cousin would have rules when playing games:

"No Dhalsim, no Blanka, no Chun Li, no E. Honda."

"Well damn , want to block Ryu, Ken, and Guile too?"

"AUNTIE HE IN HERE CUSSIN'!"

LOL! And when Championship Edition came out, add Bison, Vega, and Sagat to that list. Back then, I don't think Balrog was at the level he's at now.

You ever get pissed and start throwing stuff at any and everything except the TV?

I actually did have all three systems. I got the Wii first, then last year at Christmas I got the xbox 360 and then recently I got the ps3. I sold my wii a while ago and I don't even touch my xbox anymore. I mainly just focus on PC gaming and my Ps3 nowadays. I don't have a lot of time to play anymore because of midterms and school related activities. But when I do, I play bf3 on ps3.

I remember banning Bison and Sagat. Blanka was going to be banned regardless. I remember snatching a controller from someone and calling them a name when I've lost.

I remember throwing so many Hadokens between all of us, that mom would start having dreams with that sound! She didn't like hearing all of that one bit. But she also didn't like the blood and gore of Mortal Kombat that was to come years later.

At the same time? No. I have owned at least one of each of the systems...and in most cases more than one. I have only had 1 PS1 and have not yet owned the PS4, but this is a solid platform and there is no doubt that I will have one before 2014 is done. I usually have two systems at once...I had a PS2 for a very long time after getting my first PS3. I am sure that I have my PS3 for quite some time after getting my PS4.

I don't have all three systems yet. Not because I don't want to though, it's more of not having the funds to support three different systems all with games that I really want. I figure that I'll eventually get all of the systems I missed out on. I'm usually pretty satisfied with having one current gen console and a good PC.

It's really expensive to own all 3 of the next gen consoles now, but I know some people who have a Wii, PS3 and 360. I never had the money to own all 3 consoles, but I think I would want all 3 if I had the money and the time to play a lot more games. I like the exclusives for each console.

I have an Xbox 360, Wii, and a Playstation 3. I started with the Xbox 360 in 2008 and then ended up buying a Wii and then a Playstation 3. I've had problems with both of the Xbox 360 that I've owned and got tired of dealing with them so I switched to the PS3. I don't really play my Xbox 360 or Wii very often any more.

No, I did have an original Xbox, but I really disliked it. The only games on it I liked were Fable, because all the other games I liked you could get for the other consoles anyway. I'm not really into first person shooters. That's why I have only got a PS3 and a Wii this time around and next gen I will probably only get a PS4, I'm not really bothered about the Wii U.

Nah, I own two PS3s though (three if you count the original one I bought that recently died on me). When the Wii came out, I was interested in eventually getting it once the price came down, but towards the end of the generation, I felt like the Wii was lacking in the games department. The 360 is a solid machine, it just seemed way too similar to the PS3 to me, so I couldn't justify having both.

I owned all three, but mainly play the PS3. Of the current generation I own a PS4 and Xbox One. When it came to the PlayStation and Xbox consoles it was mainly a completist thing to own all the consoles. If I were going on an owning essential consoles/cost efficient basis I would've just got a PS3/Wii and a PS4/WiiU.

That's why I got an Xbox 360: I collect consoles. It would be different if this generation and the last were like the SNES/Genesis period when there were a lot of games that were distinctly Xbox and PS, but there's only a handful.

I only had a PS3 and a 360. Looking back it was kind of a waste to get both, really. Currently I have a PS3 and an Xbox One and PS4. It's a bit early to see if it's pointless for me to have both but I leaning towards being proven that it will be.

I have PS3 and 360 and I feel the same, Nuke. There are some games I play on 360 mainly because I found them for cheaper for that console than PS3 at a particular time, so that's the good thing there.

I never had that issue. I picked my setup (PS3/Wii) and I'm happy with it. I was going to do the same thing with PS4/Wii U, but I'm waiting a bit for Wii U.

If you thought having the PS3 and 360 was a waste, why would you then get the XB1 and PS4?

This generation was much more hyped for games that would be released in the first year alone and there's something I wanted from both systems. When it came to PS3/360 that hype wasn't as massive for the first year so I just got a 360 at launch and got a PS3 a little bit later after selling my 360 to a friend (which RROD a few months later). It's mainly down to exclusives.

Yes! I actually have six (or seven!) PS1 systems with various accessories and games, two PS2s (though one is busted) with various accessories and games, two PSPs, and a PS3. Love them all. Well, I haven't played the PSP in YEARS because both mine are broken. I plan on getting a PSP-3000 in the future though. The collection will only grow with time. Thrift shops are the nest place to find systems.
