Do you register your games?

I think I'm like most people in that I never really take the time to register anything I buy, because it's just time consuming and generally nothing much comes of it. Nintendo seems to have the best incentive program for registering products, and from what I've read the benefits of registering Playstation games/hardware seem minimal.

Has anyone registered their games and/or had a positive experience before?

I do with Nintendo since you get coins that you can use toward games and other goodies. The rest, I never bother.

Well half the time there really is no point to doing it. I mean unless you're getting some advantage by doing it or are at a disadvantage if you don't, then I don't see the point of putting in the effort.

Not really. First off, the incentives are usually just for U.S. residents, of which I am not one. Second, even if I were, I probably still wouldn't at least most of the time. I just don't think there's much benefit to it, especially for getting my information in exchange.

Square Enix is the only one that makes it worth it. Some games, like Dragon Age I believe, give you unique items/dlc. I think every company should have a program for registering your game and not many of them these days seem to care or promote it.

I don't register my games mainly because of my laziness as well lol.

I don’t register my games because I play a game on two or three times. I just like to play games during travel for travel entertainment. It thinks by gaming you can cover long distance easily.

I use to do that but it became a little bit tiresome after a while. I now prefer to just buy games at the store when they come out.

I never register my games not out of laziness, but it is more to do with the lack of benefits for non-U.S. players as well as those living outside North America. Like what DrRipley said, the registration option only benefits U.S. and North American players. I think the purpose of registration is to weed out users of pirated versions of games, so that they are blocked from accessing features available to those who have a legitimate copy of the game. But then again, registration doesn't really have that much benefits to offer, especially for PlayStation gamers. Speaking of registration, every time I load the C&C: First Decade game disc, I'm being offered to register my copy, but I simply ignore it.
