Do you regret buying it?

Nope. Everyone knows what to expect if you adopt early. We're actually pretty lucky we got decent indies this gen. I only remember 2 launch titles for 360: Perfect Dark and NBA 2k6.

I agree, but people still act like it's surprising that they didn't get everything on day one... <_< It bothers me how someone can buy a console and NOT look into it beforehand. Check when your most anticipated titles come out and plan around that if you care. Also be prepared for any firmware issues or other complications. I wanted it anyway because I knew I'd be satisfied with what it had and now I'm starting to see other games I want coming out. I remember PS3's start and the other consoles. Not the most amazing things if you look back, but it eventually served the blockbuster titles. All in good time. =)

I don't regret getting it at all. I mean I have that feeling that I didn't really get a PS4, but a more powerful PS3 with fewer titles (expected) from time to time, but I still love my PS4.

Nope, a friend came with his ps3 recently and we played fifa side by side and the ps3 version was laughable compared to the ps4.

while I agree that PS4 version looks pretty and sleek, the running animation is a bit awkward, its like bunch of down syndrome guys running around :/ I hope they fix that in 2015.

I'm going to say no, but my reason completely differs from everyone else here. I want to use it for development. I want to keep it so I can possibly create the next top hit on video games. I want to be the developer everyone loves. Right now I don't have anything to share, but soon enough. I will share the best title I'll ever imagine.

Create great story, awesome graphics, amazing gameplay, and not MP focused, a game like naughty dog games and I will be your biggest fan

I would say yes, but all in all, I'm quite alright with my PS4. The only problem that I had are the games, I don't feel like getting most of the titles for PS4 and it makes me kind of regret my decision of getting a PS4. But I guess when the good games come by I'll eventually play with it more often than not.

I don't really regret buying it, I mean the console is great. But I regret that I didn't wait until now to buy it, there weren't any good games when I first bought it (and it was a LOT of hassle to get one here where I live), and I could get it for a better price now. I bought a few days before Christmas, not a good idea I guess. :/

I don't see the regret. I mean, they're a bit expensive, but so is everything nowadays. You have to upgrade every few years; it was time.

There aren't really any games that have come out yet that really justified my purchase, but with the games that are coming this year I definitely don't regret my purchase. It is a completely different experience to PC gaming and I would hate to miss all of the great Playstation exclusives.

I must admit that I've been a lot more into PC gaming in recent years than I have console gaming, simply because the sheer power of a decent PC or Laptop offers you a very wide variety of games – very few of which are at the price of console games at launch. They also offer you sandbox titles which don't come to consoles or if they do, are restricted/slimed down (Minecraft is about the best example as things stand). Another reason is because I feel most games over the last five or six years for consoles has just been yet another FPS of some sort… I have become increasingly bored of this saturated genre to the point my eyes glaze over… The downsides? Keyboard controls are nowhere near as precise and indeed – it's complicated stuff. I know nothing about electronics or the insides of them, so if something doesn't work – I don't know how to fix it or what's wrong… In this respect a console is far superior. There’s no doubt about that.

During the last few years I’ve also taken to watching the big titles (those that interest me, anyway) and other various games via a few select YouTube 'Lets Players'. True, I accept I've become a bit lazy in watching various games rather than playing them but believe me, it'll save me a heck of a lot of money when it comes to the point where I finally take the plunge and buy a PS4. I'm actually looking forward to the indie titles as I find them a refreshing change from the endless tidal wave of FPS titles but again, until I buy the console – YouTube has been my gaming 'friend' as such.

I’ve been there and done it with regards to adapting early. I done it with both the PS2 and PS3 (PS1 was a present) and whilst it was great at the time, I felt ripped off on both occasions within months… I didn't regret buying the consoles but I regretted on both occasions not holding back as decent deals/packages started coming though. I’m determined for this not to happen this time around. I physically can't anyway – not with increasing responsibilities as the years have gone by. I’m really not fussed about being first or early to such things any more. It's inevitable that I'll get a PS4 in the end and I was going to start my search last month when it was my birthday. However I've had no drive to really do so and there's no better value bundles available at the moment anyway, so therefore remains on my 'to do' list.
