Do you remember Crash Bandicoot Racing?

This game was a blast. I used to play my friends in it all the time. I thought it was severely underrated considering the quality gameplay that it provided. Do you remember this game? I might just dust it off and have a go at it again.

Never played it and it is an obvious Mario Kart clone. Certainly that does not mean it is a bad game but from what I remember it's not more than mediocre. But these games can also be fun, right?

It is sort of similar to mario kart but I love mario kart. Crash Bandicoot Racing seemed more intense and plain old faster than any of the kart games. The speed of it felt a little like f zero but not exactly. It is worth a purchase if you play against people in your living room IRL.

Pretty good in my opinion, it's the Grand Turismo Vs. Forza of the time, because people keep comparing it with Mario Kart, when they should be enjoying both for what they had to offer.

Oh my god i loved this game so much!!! It was my childhood i absolutely loved it! I played it all the time. Being a kid though it was always really hard for me to continue in the campaign so when i got anywhere i felt really good hehe.

It was an awesome game, and I don't even like racing titles. I played this and Mario Kart and enjoyed them. Otherwise, I never really got into them outside of the arcade games with the faux-driving set up.

The best cart racing game ever imo. But objectively, it has to be the best cart racing game from that generation of consoles (PS1, N64, Saturn). I dare anyone to go back and play CTR, then play Mario Kart 64, and say that CTR control's aren't tighter. I dare ya, brah.

Yes, I remember playing it over and over with my cousin when he was still in grade school. It was a great kart game with solid controls. What made it even more fun was the power ups that were scattered all over the race tracks. The racing was made more intense because of the power ups.

CTR actually had a few advantages over Mario Kart, like the boss battles, etc.. but just didn't have that franchise staying power that Mario did. Fantastic game though, still break it out once a year.

I didn't expect to see this sort of response. I am glad that I'm not the only one who loved the game. Most of the people I know IRL off of the internet do not even know about this game.

This game was actually one of the most played games in the household before.
I remember, my best friend and I play this game and often cheat each other by disconnecting each other's controllers just to win the race. And also, we used to read it as "Bandicot" haha

Crash Bandicoot Racing was awesome and a great alternative to the huge popular Mario Kart juggernaut from Nintendo. I loved the boss battles mentioned above that really gave an edge to this game and a depth that no Mario Kart can touch. Although I must say the Mario Kart franchise is very fun and also offers the same kind of thrilling excitement that co-op racing games offer. Overall CBT is the better game but with less recognizable characters than Mario Kart which I think is the reason it is not touted as highly as it should be. The Crash Bandicoot games themselves are awesome by the way and still worth a spin in a Playstation system. Awesome thread.

i don't think that cbr is better than mario kart but it can be considered somewhat close. mario kart had better controls. to me, the best mario kart is the 64 version because of the controller. i love that n64 controller. i really wish that the cbr game would be re-vived for ps4. please, sony? please?

I never got around to play that game. I heard it wasn't that great of a game and it was a Mario Kart spinoff. So, I never bought and just stuck to playing Mario Kart.
