Do you still own and/or play your PS2?

Hey!

I was wondering do any of you still own your PS2 and if yes do you still take it out and play it from time to time?

For me, personally it's been years since I've played on PS2. I really don't see much of a reason since most of the games I would like to play have already been released on PS3 on PSN.

What about you guys? Any games still make you nostalgic enough to go and play it?

I still own my PS2's just like the rest of my consoles (Gamecube, PS1, NES, so on) however I don't tend to take them out very often. It's usually spontaneous; I take it out when I feel like playing the game. However, there are not that many games that I enjoy playing on the PS2 other than Spyro which can get repetitive at times. Sure, I'd take it out for nostalgic purposes, but game-wise, not so much. I stick to my PS3 and Xbox 360 for that.

I still have my PS 2 but I no longer play games on it. I primarily play games on my PS 3. It's safely tucked away in a drawer somewhere. I don't know if it still functions. I still have some games stored away. Come to think of it, I might try it out later, see how the games hold up to today's standards.

I play my old consoles, including PS2, just as much as my PS3 and more than my 360 (but not as much as my PC I guess) and I don't think I'm gonna stop that anytime soon. I just like to go back to certain favorites and also to check out some games I haven't when they first came out.

Yes. I actually thought about selling it a a couple of years ago but i could not get a decent price for it. Anyway the system is still very enjoyable to play.

I actually sold my PS 2 just a little while back, mainly because my computer at this point can emulate most things I want. I know that given a long enough amount of time that my console is going to fail so by that, I know that given a long enough amount of time I'm going to end up wanting to play some sort of PS 2 game. I decided that I would probably get an external HDD and start collecting things that I loved on older gen system. Chrono Cross, the Tales games for PS 2 you know all sorts of things. From there, I could back that drive up and have it with me for when I feel the urge to jump into the past.

Yeah I actuallt still own my PS2 and although I really don't play it all too often, I still manage to break it out the closet every now and then. It definitely is my favorite console of all time, as many of my favorite games are on it such as the first 3 Kingdom Hearts games and also Final Fantasy X and X-2. I'm thinking about selling it for some extra cash but for now I plan
on keeping it.

I still own my PS2, though I haven't been playing with it anymore. Nowadays I'm playing my games through my PC, thereby making the PS2 quite obsolete. Although I still play the PS2 for nostalgia purposes, such as Dynasty Warriors 4, GTA: VC and GTA: SA, Manhunt, Soul Calibur 3, Star Ocean 3, and FFX, I just don't play games like I used to.

Yes, I still own and play my PS2. I tend to use it for sports franchise modes. I have all of the 2004 EA sports series collection. I play the college basketball game with players that I created. I also have progressed through 60 years of a Toronto Blue Jays franchise mode in MVP Baseball 2004. I think I have about 6 total franchise modes going between the 2004 and 2005 MVP baseball games. All of these are played on my original PS2.

I do still own a PS2, but I've not played on it for quite awhile. I think the last time I played it was nearly a year ago.

But, I do get it out and plug it in if I want to do a little playing of games like Phantasy Star Universe, Rogue Galaxy (Which I still have yet to beat), or Xenosaga.

PS2 had good times behind it, and I'm happy to see more and more of the games coming out in HD Collections as well as PS2 Classics.

Not as much as i used to, nowadays every game i enjoyed there has a better HD Collection version, so i play those. But until we get a Ace Combat HD Collection, will have to keep kicking the old pal from time to time!

I do still actually play my old PS2. I actually just beat Final Fantasy X and my boyfriend plays Kingdom Hearts on it. However ours are both a but fussy sometimes, but most of the time they work.

Of course, do you know how cheap PS2 games are? Besides which some of my favorite games are still on this system. Anyway it's nice to revisit old storylines and see where the roots of more recent games lie. Also there were games I never played that I'm doing catch up on now.

I still play my PS2 because I have a lot of games that I love to play over and over. I also have a lot of games that I haven't beaten yet. I don't see myself giving up playing it anytime soon.

Haha. I like playing old games on my PS2, and beating them all over again. There are games that i have already beaten at least 4 or 5 times that i still play.

Yeah going back and playing a game over to see if you can do better is fun. I love trying to outdo myself with my games. Sometimes I do and sometimes I don't. It's fun to try though.;)

I still have my PS2, but it's gathering dust somewhere in a box in my house. I don't see any reason to play on it anymore since i've played every game in my collection. It was fun to play back in the day, but I can't say the same now.

The PS2 still remains my favorite console of all time (mostly for nostalgia reasons though) and I still have mine lying somewhere at home. Haven't played it since going to college but I regularly played it till 2009-10. Now most of my gaming needs are satisfied by my PC.

Yeah the PC does have a lot of good games, but I still go back to my PS2. It has been with me longer and I have more favorites with it than my PC.
