I've had PS Plus almost since launch. And I have to tell you for me, it's been great. I liked it before they brought the Instant Game Collection. But after that, it got even better. People like to say the free games are "free" games. But that's ok. Because my "free" collection has grown like crazy. And sure sometimes they offer games you might already have purchased. But that comes with the territory as you can't please everyone ALL the time.
Adding to that, the discounts get insane sometimes. Too bad it will be mandatory for online play on the PS4. But to be fair, I would have purchased it anyway even if it wasn't for the PS4. But obviously I don't even have to repurchase it because I have it already lol
