Do you think that Sony will pursue motion gaming for the PS4?

I think general gamer feedback has dictated that motion gaming isn't preferred to gaming with a controller. It seems like it will be implemented, but only minimally, like with the Sixaxis on the PS3. I personally would prefer if they focused on using it in an innovative and subtle way in certain games to heighten the experience, but not as a major focus.

I think in its later years it will look into it more. The ps5 will fully pursue it I believe

The Sixaxis was so annoying i remember using it on GTA: IV and it was not even fun to use at all i just found it horrible and hard, made the game much more challenging than what it should be like.

Motion gaming is popular but not so much to the target audience of gamers that Microsoft and Sony pursue. Sport and training games tend to have their place in the motion market, so I think you're going to see a lot of awesome development with that. You won't hurt for a new nike trainer and I bet that the next Biggest Loser game is going to come out of the TV and kick your ass.

However, to the harder core audience its going to be harder to put motion into the mix. If I'm in my gaming recliner and the such with my completion laptop to keep notes, the last thing I want to do is swing my arms about and try to kick at something. That's just me. Yes I admit thought if there's a star wars game that's actually worth it I would totally get it and swing about...

I sure hope not. Out of the three attempts at motion control, the Wii, the Kinect, and the Move, I'd say the Move was the worst. The main reason is they would advertise it in games like major shooters where no one in their right mind would use a motion control device for such precise competition. The shovelware for it was to be expected, and just like the Eye, I hope they stop trying to move in on unsupported gimmicks and stick to the games.

Please don't, we already have a nice core gaming console, don't ruin it with unnecessary gimmicks. If they want to experiment with stuff, don't try to shove it like it's necessary for my core experience!

It already seems like they won't considering all of the lack of mentioning it. I think motion controls are cool but they're pretty gimmicky if you're a "real" gamer. I hope it remains a side feature and that games don't stress on implementing motion control features. As long as I have a controller I couldn't be bothered with waving my hand at a screen.

It will pursue motion gaming but not as obsessively as the Xbox One. I think it will focus more on the connectivity of the PS Vita and the PS 4. Games could have minor touch controls and motion controls but I think that it would not be as excessive like using a Kinect or the Wii. Motion gaming could be great but I'm more of a traditional gamer so I don't care that much for motion controls.

I think Sony will pursue motion gaming for the Playstation. Although I don't want motion gaming, I think Playstation will pursue. I think this because Xbox One is continuing with its Kinect motion.

I personally too thin. Sony will pursue motion gaming on its playstation 4, I don't think that it will enable it in all the devices but will give the option to play motion based games by an extra set of device.

I thought the six axis was used well in the games I've played, so I'd like to see what else they can do with motion gaming!

I just don't think that its realistic to stick with peripheral motion gaming in the long run. The Six Axis was accurate to an extent, but it still required holding something. I'm critical of motion gaming and what its use will be in the long run, but if there was a lot more innovation and games that pulled in a hard core audience then there's a chance that something will take off. I'm just not sure how I'm feeling about it right now.

Small things like head tracking really increase the immersion. Making a console entirely on motion based controls is a huge gimmic in my opinion.

Playing games on TV without something to tap or hold feels really weird to me, at least DDR had the mat thing. Also, I don't really like moving all that much when playing games, as I could do that by myself outside without anyone commanding me on the next step and I'd at least actually be outdoors and getting fresh air while I do it. When I play video games, I prefer to zombie out in a couch because the main reason I play is because I'd like to unwind and relax. That said, I think they will pursue it, but I agree with you that they should really change gears and find another method to integrate the technology as this current way feels forced.

I don;t think it should be a major focus. It better stay as the secondary goal for the folks at Sony Entertainment. The shouldn't shove something up on our throat like Microsoft are doing with Kinect.

I hope they don't. Motion gaming is honestly annoying and I don't think anybody has managed to do it right. Whenever it's shoehorned into a game I end up thinking "wow, this totally would be better if I could just press a button to do that instead of waggling like an idiot."

I hope they don't. Let's be honest, the Move and Kinect were not as good or successful as the Wii. I don't think anybody is waiting on bated breath to play the Move on PS4.

I think not, they said they were working on a VR. And since the it wasn't a real succes it isn't likely

I think that the motion gaming thing was a novelty and simply a response to the Wii's popularity. But, as with most fads and novelties, it fades and the Wii's popularity has waned. I haven't heard much about the Kinect or the Playstation Motion in a long time and I doubt that either company plans to put a lot of R&D into developing any new technologies around it. My opinion, of course.
