Do you use Sixaxis?

It seems like Sixaxis was more of a fad than anything else. I remember playing a couple games that used Sixaxis as a main part of the control settings. One of these games was Heavenly Sword. I think the game adoped the Sixaxis feature really well, I like how you could control missiles using this, but I think the accuracy could have been better. It seems most games don't adopt the Sixaxis feature very much though, do you think it's dead and buried? or have we yet to see more from motion sensor controllers?

I used it for a few games like Killzone and MW but I'm not a big fan of it,I enjoy pushing buttons way more. Maybe a casual game would be better for something like this, because FPS and fast paced action games don't seem good for it.

Only when it is required like Killzone and I think I used it a couple of times playing GTA IV.

The main game i used it in was on "No More Heroes", and there you just had to shake the controller to recharge your sword, so you didn't used it for precision.

Oh, there was also Wipeout, which you need to use it for a trophy, but after that i preferred the classic controls.

I've only played one game that integrated Sixasis, and that was Ratchet & Clank. I don't really think it has much potential. Sixasis probably wanted it to be on the same level as the 'rumble', but it never really caught on. It's too awkward to twist your hands weirdly while trying to play a game.

I'm not even sure I've ever played a game that uses Sixaxis; at the very least, I've not been aware that a game I'm playing uses it. The only game I can think of that uses any kind of motion control via the controller is LittleBigPlanet, and you really only use that to make your Sackboy/Sackgirl look around the screen. It has no effect on the gameplay whatsover. If that counts, I guess I do use Sixaxis.

The only game I ever used the Sixaxis on was Warhawk and I was awful with it.
The idea is excellent for fight sim games but I have never really seen any for PS3 other than Warhawk.

I only used it when it was necessary to pass a certain level in a game. I am just more comfortable with the old school way of using the contoller.

When the game incorporates it well, it can work, but it's too distracting, in my opinion. It takes me out of the game and I hate that. I understand that I may just be getting used to it, though, but still, at the moment I'd rather just keep to button presses. I see it as a fad, and adding touchscreen to that equation just makes me even less optimistic. However, I give them props for trying out new things at the very least.

I remember you having to use it on Uncharted, while balancing -- felt like a gimmick then. Heavy Rain used it beautifully but that's a very unique title, all about interactive storytelling. I don't think it serves much value in traditional gaming to be honest, but every now and then it'll fit very well with a concept --like Heavy Rain-- and then it's great to have around.

The new Sixaxis controller is great! Personally, I prefer this controller instead of the old Dualshock. What I like about the Sixaxis is the new improved L2 and R2 buttons. :)

Now I see why it's called a sixaxis controller :D

Putting that aside, I've used it only for Flower and I think it was very well implemented into the game, otherwise I think it's not suited for "normal" games.

I use it every time I play a regular game. The motion controls are a plus but I don't use the features every time. I do agree that it turned out to be just a fad because game developers did not completely support its features. Besides, the Wii has already incorporated motion controls perfectly so using the features of the Sixaxis felt quite old.

The Sixaxis is a beautiful feature of the PS3 controller. I still find it a bit weird.

I find it difficult to use, but it works correctly. This is not the same as the Wii anyway. The Sixaxis worked well with Uncharted for example.

If it is used correctly, the function may be more useful. I think we will see a little more on PS4.

I really do not care for sixaxis at all and did not see much of a point for it. I can actually only recall a few games that used it if I'm even remembering correctly, Little Big Planet 1 and 2 I think both used to to move your sackboy's body around a bit but not much else.
GTA IV also use it for things like driving motorcycles but it didn't seem to help driving and mostly just completely messed it up. Other than those few games I don't remember even using it.

Most games really didn't develop with the sixaxis in mind, almost like they somewhat forgot about the feature, like rumbling (remember when that was the cool thing, so everything rumbled?). When I was playing The Last of Us and it prompted me to shake the controller to recharge the flashlight, I chuckled the first time. I thought that it was such an insignificant and meaningless inclusion to the game, I really wondered if they were forced to put SOMETHING in the game that used motion controls.

I only used it when it was needed like in army of two, where you used in a mission of parachuting. I like the idea of Six Axis but I really never implemented it into any of my games. The Six Axis Tutorial is annoying on GTA IV if you keep accidentally clicking on it when trying to access cheats.
