Do you utilize the World Wide Web on the Playstation 3?

When I first used it, the ability to browse the web was really impressive to me when I was using my Playstation. However after I had it a while, I found that I really wanted to be able to browse at the same time as playing a video game. For example, checking facebook or updating my blog while I was waiting in the lobby for the next round of Call of Duty. This meant that it was just so much easy to have a laptop next to me while playing.

The ability to use the keyboard on a laptop is also brilliant. Something which, I think, was a major flaw for the PS3's web browser. It just made browsing take so much longer when you had to use the six-axis or the dualshock three to type. There were also a lot of bugs with the web browser that I don't really think Sony made them it's number one priority to fix, as they still exist.

I have only a couple of times. But my laptop is always on so it's just faster and easier to pick up the laptop instead of going through the internet on the PS3. But I do use the PS Vita's web app regularly.

No, computers are just much easier to deal with. I've used it for YouTube videos when my computer isn't working, but that's really about it.

Well I buy consoles for gaming and nothing more. I think it is pretty cool feature to have but I've never used it. As everyone said, it is so much easier and more convenient using a laptop for those purposes.

I rarely ever use the worldwide web on any console. That is what I have a laptop for, if I did not use it for that I would just get a console for that matter.

I watch Youtube on it, yes. It's more convenient for me when I want to put on some music sometimes because it's already turned on and connected to the speakers. I rarely use it for any other site, though.

I thought I'd use the internet on the PS3 a lot more than I actually do. I was impressed by how fast and smooth the browsing actually was, though. There really is no reason to use the internet, for browsing, because I have a perfectly good computer. It's much easier because you have a keyboard and mouse. I was really impressed with the functionality of it though, it is yards in front of the Wii internet, that browser is horrible.

Youtube and stuff is alright. But actually browsinge the web on a console seems awfully pointless. At least on a handheld it makes sense, specially with touch screens.

I tried it once or twice, but it's been so sluggish that I gave up immediately. Hopefully PS4 will have the kinks worked out, because that would be incredibly convenient to use my TV as another monitor.

When it first came out I loved the feature and it was really helpful, but for the last few years I haven't used it at all. Last year I tried watching a show on it once so I wouldn't have to connect anything to the TV, but it ended up taking way too long and in the end I just gave up.

It's slow, tedious to use, and pretty much pointless considering I'll have my PC, laptop or phone next to me I can use faster.

I still think it's an awesome feature that's very useful for a lot of people who need to browse the internet and might not have a computer with them or whatever.

hahha porn, oh geez, men. Ok so I do check my facebook, it's slow and I update my twitter, slow. Not sure how good the ps4 browser is or if there is one but I hope it's even better. Add chrome sony!

I only use it when my pc is off and I'm too lazy to turn it on. Then when it's too slow I just go in 'non-lazy' mode.

I used the PS3 browser mainly for YouTube and watching streams/PPVs. If I wanted to actually browse the internet, I used the laptop, the PSP, or sometimes the computer...depending on how far it was from wherever I was (meaning it didn't get used much unless I just so happened to be near it).

The PS3 browser was...ho hum. It's not something you'd use for actual browsing. It was kind of like Dreamcast's browser in that you could be playing games instead of trying to use the internet on a game console. Sure, you'll try it out because it's there, but other than that? Pass.

Oh and yeah, YouTube is solid on it.

Jackpot. Always used it for watching PPVs. Using the PS3 browser to actually browse the internet and read stuff. You should try eating soup with a fork too.

Browsing the tubes on consoles has always been awful. Considering I have a computer and laptop next to me, I don't see the purpose.

Seeing as how I already have my desktop hooked up to my television with an HDMI cable, I don't think it's really necessary to use it. It would have come in handy whenever other family members were using my computer, but I'm both in my own home and without a wireless router now. Plus, using a mouse and keyboard is just so much better to use than a controller.
