Does anyone still play Ages of Empire

I wanted to ask if anyone still plays this games, the ages of empire series. They were so cool, I virtually grew up on them and am looking forward to getting to meet other users. I'm thinking of getting a good system so I can start to paly this game again.

Any info on what the game is about? I want to hear what you think of the game, what you like about it.
If it's good, I might buy it.

The online exclusive? I tried it out, but it was lacking all the good stuff that makes the series good.

I am waiting for the summer sales on Steam so i can get Age of Empires 2 HD and relive the good memories that i have from that game.

Hell yeah I still play Age of Empires. Would you believe that I got the first one out of a cereal box? I lost that disc a while back, recently though, I bought 1 and 2 and their expansion packs for like $20 (that was an awesome day) to Age of Empires 3 and it's expansion packs. I know I bought the discs, but I do believe they are available on Steam as well. It's a shame that they're not doing anything else with besides the online. I haven't personally played the online one yet so I don't know how good it is or not.
