Does anyone still play the older final fantasy games

There's not really a happy medium with the FF series. Most of my friends are passionate about it or cant stand it.

I play the old SNES titles with a friend from time to time. You know what? I'm somehow afraid to play Final Fantasy VII on the PS1. It seemed to be so perfect when I was a teenager. Maybe I don't want to spoil that memory. Just thinking about it makes me shiver.

Final Fantasy 9. I still want to win in the mini-games without using a cheats. I tried to play Final Fantasy 8 again but I can't seem to swallow most of the romantic scenes in there. I know Rinoa is pretty and Squall is, well, ambiguous, but there are a lot of cheesy lines. FF10-2 is also another game that I play sometimes. Again, it's for the sake of completing the mini-games.

Yes, all the time. The older ones are timeless and will never get old, especially VII-X. Those were the golden years.
