DriveClub coming October 2014!

Can it be? It looks like Sony and DriveClub developer Evolution Studios have announced that the delayed highly-anticipated PS4 exclusive is now looking at a October release this year.

"We planned for the game to be ready for early 2014 and are committed to delivering on our ambitious promise of creating a truly innovative, socially connected racing game. The problem with being ambitious is you have to be prepared to accept there will be challenges along the way. What DriveClub offers has not been previously achieved in this category, and, because of this, the team needed more time to give you the game you’re waiting for." - SCE Worldwide Studios President, Shuhei Yoshida (PS Blog)

The official dates (unless it is delayed again ) will be October 7th for North America, October 8th for Europe and finally October 10th in the UK.

I was just about to post this, looks like I'm about a day behind lol. Can't wait for this, I still pretty disappointed that it's delayed but it they have used the time well I can't really complain. Any idea if they are still releasing a free version for plus members ?

Yep. They are still released a PS Plus freebie version Day one.

You'll be able to sample the free PlayStation Plus version of DriveClub on the same day the full version of the game launches, with the option to upgrade from the PS+ to full version should you so wish.

So again, the UK is last to get games. No real surprise there to be honest... It's been that way for near enough the last twenty years.

If the initial reactions to this game are positive, I'll seriously consider buying the PS4/Driveclub bundle.
