I won't lie after getting very frustrated with a game I dropped my controller with a little down force but not too much....anyway after that the PS4 notified me with a popup notification that my controller is low on battery and then died. I tried to turn it back on but it died right away. I am a pretty technical guy so i opened the controller up and nothing looked broken or anything except that the socket for the battery plug was slightly off. The soldered contacts for the battery were still solid and the controller would still works if plugged into the system or just charging in general. I also tested the battery in my other controller and it does hold a charge and work. My assessment is that a sensor or something that tell when the battery is low was damaged. I cannot however find any place where the controller or circuit board look damaged at all. If anyone out there has any ideas on a fix or just a datasheet of the circuit board or anything like that I would be much appreciative. Thanks in advance for any thoughts.
UPDATE: After hours of trying to figure anything out, I tried using a different method to supply the controller with power. This did not contain a battery and the PS4 still read that the controller has no battery and the controller went dead. This means it has to be something with a sensor or power distribution of the circuit board. If anyone has any ideas or anything at all it would help.
