Are the new additions to the controller really necessary? How do you think they will be used for playing games? The first thing that stands out about the Dualshock 4 controller is the touch screen, which I personally think is a good addition overall. On the other hand, it takes up a lot of space on the controller, so if it doesn't work out perfectly it may end up just taking up space. The one new feature that the Dualshock 3 didn't have is the "light bar" (I don't know if that's actually what it's called), which changes color based on the player number and amount of battery left. The third thing that I like about the Dualshock 4 is the new surface of the sticks, which is a bit similar to the Xbox 360's sticks.
On the other hand, a "share" button sounds completely unnecessary. That's just my opinion; I don't feel the need to share anything about the games I'm playing, but some people might. The speaker is intriguing, but if it's anything like the Wiimote's speaker, it's probably completely unnecessary.
What do you guys think? A huge improvement, or not so much?
