Excited to play inFamous?

The problem with reviewers is you don't know if their personal bias is getting into their decisions.

That's true, it's like sometimes you have people who don't like FPS or don't care for them reviewing FPS. You have people who love FPS reviewing it and while they would have a better understanding, sometimes they might come off too sweet on the game. It's one thing if the small site is specific--genre specific, console specific, etc--but for larger sites it's expected that the writers are well rounded in everything, you know?

I've played the other infamous games and they are really fun. They offer a unique experience, especially with the integration of the open world. I've seen the screenshots and videos of the gameplay in this new infamous game and I am really impressed. This is going to be one of the most visually stunning games ever released on consoles, and it will definitely create a big draw for the PS4. I'm eager to see the development of this and other exclusives on the Playstation system.

The first time I played through Infamous, I made it about half way and just lost interest for whatever reason. A couple years later (just before Infamous 2 was released) I went back at it and loved it from start to finish. 2 was awesome as well; adding some useful elements while maintaining the good from its predecessor.

Second Son looks to be nothing short of the last 2. I'm looking forward!

Infamous really delivered on the fun, man. I loved playing the first one and the second one really kept my attention for a long time. I'm sure Second Son will deliver.

It's shaping up to look pretty awesome so I'm definitely interested in checking it out and playing it soon. So far I haven't heard anything yet that turns me off of it but then again we haven't really seen anything from Second Son. Still Infamous was a lot of fun, so I'm hoping that Second Son follows up on that.

They will use the same formula with better graphics. As long as they keep the same fun gameplay with the new powers and don't mess up the new character, it is really hard for them to go wrong with this game!

I have to admit that I wasn't really too excited for this game. I played the first Infamous and thought that it was only average. I skipped Infamous 2 because of this reason. Now that I've seen more videos for Second Son, I'm starting to build up interest in this game. Maybe because the PS4 is lacking games now but I'm interested nonetheless so I'm buying it.

I have to believe their is going to more of the same as far as gameplay with the new powers added. This is the third game in the series so I am expecting them to stick with what is proven to be a successful formula. I am not real big into super hero games but Infamous 1 and 2 were the best super hero game with Batman: Arkham City being 2nd best for me.

I really do hope they improve the city and have the city look exactly how you left it. If you knocked off the top of the space needle then it should stay that way.

I know we have a different character but I am still expecting it to be similar but new enough to feel fresh. The graphics alone look so much better that it might add some replay value.

Does anyone know how long the main campaign is supposed to be? I am hoping this is a at lest a 20 + hour game with the side missions and all.

This game is solely responsible for me picking up a PS4. I bought a Xbox One at launch, but knew I would need a PS4 in time for this!

I'm an Infamous fan so I'll be picking this up for sure! The lead up to it has been pretty good too. I'm warming up to the new guy as well, but I'm sure I'll enjoy playing as him once the game actually drops.

picked it up at lunch, have not been home to try it out yet. Will have to wait for tomorrow. Looking forward to a new open world game though, I have pretty much done everything in Black flag already.

I have never here'd of infamous until I saw second son! Well I was lucky and bought all 3 yesterday!, I am playing them in order so I know the story! The first one is great so far. Second son looks bad ass can't wait to get threw the first two!!

I must admit I was also completely unaware of this series until this game come along…!

Without a PS4 at the moment (and probably not for at least a few more months…), I've resorted to watching a YouTube walkthrough of this game to a certain gamer I'm subscribed to.

So far, I must be about four hours into watching this game and I can truthfully say on my laptop, fullscreen in HD, this has to be the best looking game out there for the PS4 as things stand. Some of the detail in it, particularly the backdrops, is phenomenal. If I can see that detail coming through a laptop screen, it must look stunning on a proper television. It looks so fluid to play, also. Character detail is up where with the best I've seen too and the storyline, so far, is also decent. There really isn't much about it at the moment that I can fault – from a spectator's point of view, at least.

I will very seriously consider purchasing this for myself when the time comes.

I finished the story missions yesterday, really fun game, though thought it would be longer. I love how the different abilities work and how you change them. Visually stunning, great all around game!

This is a good game but feels a bit rushed as their are a fair amount of graphical bugs even with the Day 1 patch. The limited edition Cole History patch is not much of anything IMO. However, it is a good game. It does look good and plays fairly well but I think it is the weakest in the series as far as story and I don't like the only have one power at a time setup they have implemented. I am disappointed in the city a little bit and the side characters are not great. The Morality system is flat out stupid. If you shoot the DUP Agents in the head playing as good then you lose good Karma. The morality system is just as black and white as in other games. I was really hoping they would add inn lots of levels of grey instead of just good and bad. The fonts can be kind of hard to read on some screens but not nearly as bad as Killzone and FF.

I have mentioned some of the negative but the bottom line is that this game is FUN. It is a huge city with lots of bad guys to take out. Once you start getting stronger powers, it becomes much more fun. I am playing this game to where I beat the Giant PUD Agent (2nd Boss) and then went back to the old part of the city to get more powers and do all the side missions. I am going to basically try to finish every single part of this game and then go back and play a bad karma settings.

This has a different feel from Infamous and Infamous 2. I do miss all the monsters from Infamous 2 and the better storyline from the original Infamous but this almost feels like a standalone game not part of the Infamous series. It also feels more like a PC game in that it has the really high resolution backgrounds and a beautiful city.

I personally give this game an 8.5/10 and think it is by far the best game on the PS4 and IMO the only real next generation game worth the $60 purchase price.

Also, shooting drones is a lot of fun!

I was weary of getting this game because I'm really not a fan of games like this. They get old very quickly. With that said, I am in love with this game so far. I really expected it to just be good graphics with a terrible story. Let face it, thats what you usually get for the first big exclusive.

I was very wrong, the story, gameplay, graphics, control, its all amazing. Sony really has a great game here. If you have a ps4, this is a must have game.

+ 1 I'm loving this game too

I feel the Story parts of the game are the weakest link and when you get into the 2nd half of the game (across the bridge) and start getting into battles like Angels and Demons, the frame rate will drop a great deal.

Sony had to have this game released within the release window of 6 months after the series was completed. This game could have used another 6 months to be polished and perhaps get it to 60fps instead of 30fps.

However, it is still a lot of fun. It is a very good game. A better story and less tedious boss battles could have made this game great! I still think it is a must have game though.
