I chose 2TB WD 2.5' My Passport USB 3.2 Black WDBYVG0020BBK-WESN for external HDD to my brand new PS5, but my salesman claims that it will works on PS4, but probably not on PS5!!!??? Some other guys said it will work.... Any real experience? I am fond of WD, so will always choose this brand...

You currently cannot use these external hard drives to store any PS5 games, even on a suitably speedy external SSD. You can only move PS4 titles onto external drives on PS5 right now, meaning you'll need to keep any PS5 games you want to install strictly to the 667.2GB of internal storage.

You are probably right, but my attempt was to store a few PS4 games (pes21, nba21, f1 2020, cod and more) to my external hdd, so I can make space to PS5 hdd for GT7 and other PS5 games coming...and I just did it, at 2yrs old external hdd with usb 3.0...tx for quick advice anyway!
