Wow 55gb for GTA 5. Crazy. I got it today. Looking forward to playing it. Is far cry worth it?

I'm about an hour (maybe a little more) into watching a YouTube walkthrough and my feelings are a bit mixed at the moment.

It starts off very well indeed. The opening sequence is superb and I was really hyped about the game by watching the opening 15 minutes or so. Without spoiling the story, the first few minutes when you first take the controls are also excellent. Infact, I'd probably go as far as to say it would certainly fit somewhere in my top 30 or so 'starts' on any game I've ever played or even seen. Big thumbs up, in this respect…

From there though, it seems to take a bit of a 'lul' where there doesn't seem to be any clear objective – but then again I’m not overly familiar with the Far Cry series. There's lots of hanging around hilly fields (although it's an open world environment – a big bonus), a tiny village with crumbling buildings and an inventory screen which looks daunting… I think I'm being a little harsh on it though – I might get used to it. It does seem to be picking up a bit with regards to action again though, as I've not long finished watching a mission called 'Propaganda Machine'. I'm about 10 minutes or so beyond that as things stand.

Graphically, it's very impressive indeed. It's certainly right up there with about the best the PS4 has to offer so far from what I've seen. The background mountains are done superbly. However, once again gameplay and plot are much more important to me. Any game having excellent graphics are simply a bonus.

One other downside – the driving in it looks horrid but then again, it's not designed to be a racer so I can probably overlook most of it's shortfalls in this respect. The gliding aspect that I've seen (albeit briefly) looks excellent although my Youtube Walkthrough guide ended up colliding with a tall tree, falling and killing himself on his first attempt!

Would I buy this when I get a PS4? Hmm…I'm not convinced by it yet, but there's plenty of time for me to change my opinion. I'll certainly give it a fair chance as I can see the potential it has. I'll probably watch another hour's worth of footage over this weekend before deciding whether to add it to my shortlist or not.

I just started playing it yesterday, opening scene is definitely awesome!... As for the gameplay after that being "lul" is kind of true. There is no sense of direction but it is an open world so you can do whatever u want. I've played a few missions and I definitely enjoy the progression.

1 thing I don't like... Driving and hang gliding. The controls are absolutely ridiculous. Everything is so touchy!!

I started to play FC4 at weekend and it is really a good game very entertaining.

Trying to increase my skills now then I will go to story missions, the map is huge and there is always small missions around the map.

There are many similar missions but every mission have some small differences thus it is not being boring.
Earning money is no too hard and giving you the freedom to buy your weapons easily.

Using arrow at the missions is awesome especially when you need to be quite while killing people.

Not as awesome as the silenced .50 cal sniper rifle :-)

Plus there's the gyrocopters for some James Bond little nellie style baddassery!
