Far Cry Classic available on PS3

Far Cry 'Classic' is available on PS3 (and 360) so for those that have never played it before (like me) rejoice.
Should be this week on PSN store for U.S at least. Hopefully EU too,or soon.

I am tempted but then I havent even started playing Bioshock Infinite or Metro properly yet.

I do want to play it but as I said,I havent even played Bioshock Infinite or Metro Last Light yet.
Just havent been playing PS3 or PS4 at all the last almost 3 weeks now,apart from a little Outlast when it was released.
Maybe Im going off gaming? (Cue Darth Vader's voice saying) "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO"

Well,there is always 'Far Cry Wild Expedition' which has all 4 Far Cry games on disc.

At Blockbuster.com.au you can get it for under AUD $38 posted! So why would I get Far Cary 1 from PSN store for $15 when I can get all 4 on 1 disc for $38,which I can sell later.
Like I said though I havent been playing much lately but it just looks so good..lol

That's insane! I see EB Games is selling it for $59.95 so that's a pretty good deal.

Ive bought a few from them before,as you know.
Keep in mind the item will prob come from HongKong but it will be either UK or AUS region version.
And it may take a few weeks tops before you get it,so if you can wait,then its defo worth it for that price.
As are many other PS3 and PS4 games from there.

That wouldn't bother me much, as I always buy games and it takes me months before I even touch it.

Well,Im downloading the trial from PSN store,gonna test it out.

I always planned that GTA V would be my last PS3 purchase but this Far Cry Collection is damn tempting.
I never played the first one,I did have the 2nd but lost interest after a while,never had the 3rd and played the demo of Blood Dragon and thought it was 80's cheesy super cool

I'd actually like that Wild Expedition version than just getting Classic (which was alright).

Well I had quick play of the trial of Far Cry classic,was OK but defo feels a little dated now.
Movement isnt very tight compared to modern FPS type games,feels more like you are floating or on conveyor belt rather than walking/running,if you know what I mean.
And the graphics themselves sure look a little older,but hey,thats to be expected.

Dunno,still not sure whether to get this,I didnt want to actually buy PS3 games anymore,just PS4,but its still a good collection especially of you can get it at a cheap price.
Im more interested in Fary Cry 3 now and especially Far Cry 3 Blood Dragon,both of which are also included.

That is a good collection. I never cared for the original FarCry and FC2 started off great then it wears off on you. Liked Blood Dragon, never played FC3.

Oh,so it was'nt just me then. I had Far Cry 2 but never finished it,lost interest.
Only played the trial of Blood Dragon but liked it,and yeah,never played Far Cry 3 either. Supposed to be great though.

Yeah I also got a couple hours into FC2 and just got bored of it. Far Cry 3 got it right though. Blood Dragon is just perfection!

I found FarCry 2 fun initially then I noticed a some routines which "When Games Suck" explained pretty simply.

This is the frustrating, tedious, frankly un-fun experience of a Far Cry 2 mission:

Drive towards other side of map.

Get attacked by boring AI that chips away at you from a distance and tries to surround you if you get close. Kill them all.

Get attacked by boring AI and then at a critical moment collapse from malaria or have your gun jam. Die.
Reload save.
Repeat.

I liked the gun jam mechanic, didn't mind malaria, but I did hate that missions were generally way across the map.
