Favorite easter eggs or secrets?

What are your favorite Easter eggs or secrets in games? The first time I encountered secret places in games was in Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2, where you could access different parts of the map by doing different things. This was back before you could find lists of every little thing online, so it was still a 'hunt' at that point. There were a lot of them, I know, but I can't think of any more off the top of my head.

I used to play Ratchet and Clank 2 at my friend's house all the time when I was little. He showed me this place where if you jump into a certain spot you fall through the floor. If you can manage to walk the path without seeing where you're going, it took you into this museum place that was really awesome. My favorite part was that you could design your own gun, and completely configure the appearance of the laser/bullet it shot out. Lots of fun.

I liked Crash Bandicoot 3 before and the way the game hid the gems that needed to be collected. I just went on and on collecting every single one of them and I was mighty surprised to find out that collecting all the gems gave access to 5 secret levels! My troubles were well rewarded.

I really like easter eggs in games, personally. Maybe it's just me, but it seems like there aren't as many of them nowadays. The most recent game I can think of with a bunch of significant ones was Just Cause 2, with my favorite being the island from "Lost." Man that was a great game.

Definitely in Duke Nukem 3D when you stumble upon the guy from Doom, dead and torn in half, or Lara Croft chained to the wall. It was trying to convey the message that "This game is way more hardcore and tougher than those games" and it was rather silly, but still funny.

Duke Nukem seemed to have a lot of those kinds of secrets. I remember my uncle showing me all the weird things on there, but I was never able to find them myself for some reason. Maybe it's just me but it seems like there are fewer Easter Eggs in general these days.
