Favorite summons in a Final Fantasy game?

Final Fantasy is known for its pretty graphics, solid turn based gameplay, and cool monsters that you could summon during battle to help you dish out the pain on your foes and aid you in a tight spot. They're called differently in each FF game. FFVIII called them Guardian Forces, FF12 called them Espers, etc. But most of us call them all as summons. So, what is your favorite summon in Final Fantasy?

Aside from Bahamut, everyone picks that one most of the times, but i think for me i would say Levianthan, i really like that one. Eden gets a special mention from me because godamm, that thing takes up to 3 minutes to summon!

Eden from FFVIII? That's one heck of a summon. You could cause a lot of damage with that beast. My favorite in FF8 though is Shiva. That Guardian Force is very sexy and can disk out a very powerful ice attack. She's very useful especially in the early parts of the game.

I like Ifrit on FFIX and FFVIII. I like the fire attacks and he does some decent damage too. I basically like all the summons and I think all of them are awesome.

Knights of the Round in FFVII has to be the most ridiculous one. Not only is it incredibly hard to achieve (you need a Gold Chocobo to access a hidden island), but the attack itself takes about 1 minute and 30 seconds to complete. It can to a maximum of about 130,000 damage to a target, which will kill everything instantly but the weapons, chocobos, and Safer Sephiroth. It's quite beautiful to watch:

Thanks for posting the video. I spent days getting that one and its my favorite as well.
Does anyone remember how long the summon video were in FF8? They were cool and all but it got tiring after the third time. And you couldn't skip them either.

Yojimbo is the first one that comes to mind. I love Oriental art, and Yojimbo looks like a 3D stylized samurai painting. And the bit of music that plays when you summon him is sweet. Plus, his attacks are cool as hell.

I'd pick Bahamut as my favorite, and probably Ifrit as a second. I've always been fascinated by winged creatures, so I was immediately naturally drawn to the Bahamut summon the first time I saw it. Ifrit, on the other hand, I just like mostly because of the fire element, and the fact that it's mixed in well with the overall personality of the summon, but the final part where he deals a huge fireball as damage always seemed a bit anticlimactic for me. I would rather just have him set the whole place on fire instead.

Since I only watched my brother play FF VIII, I'd say he used a lot of the holy summon Alexander.I just like how it always looks . and in FF IX when he fights Bahamut,oh God ..those wings..

I have to say that Yojimbo from X is my favorite. Bahamut looked super cool, but Yojimbo really stood out design wise. I also loved that you had to find him and fight him. I didn't even have a clue that he existed until a friend tipped me off.
