Today, Sony released a new video to their YouTube channel called "First Look at the PlayStation 5 User Experience" which is a first look at PS5's User Interface (UI)...
I like it. I think it's much more streamlined than the PS4 interface. Seems things are grouped together better and the new features (especially the speech to text) will be very helpful. I've never used parties anyway so the new features of that I probably don't use. I like how games are grouped together again. I always disliked how on PS4 they were all on the main menu, so I had to scroll through them sometimes. I always felt that was a step back from the XMB where games were grouped (I understand on PS4 you can go to the media library, but that was always on the end for me so I still had to scroll through everything). I also like the hints feature on some games. I wonder how many games will take advantage of that. Definitely anything first party, but third party, I wonder if that will be utilized. I'm always terrified to look up hints online and I've definitely had things spoiled before which is frustrating.
I did chuckle when they said in the video that there may be some wrinkles. In other words, there's bugs they know about but probably won't have them fixed by launch but will push out patches at a later date. So business as usual there
