So who here has downloaded this app?

I'm not sure if it's available on the Android marketplace but it's been setting off the anger levels with iPhone/iPad/iPod users something chronic!

Apparently, the app is raking in $50,000 per day in ad revenue!

They'll probably need that money for when Nintendo lodge a court action against them for basically ripping off the sewer pipes from the Mario games :o
 
I downloaded it and played it for about 5 minutes and then deleted it, what a waste -my 6-year-old started watching me play and said "I thought this was Mario" and left lol
 
Not worth it. I hit 102 points and uninstalled. I am not going over 100 like that EVER again. I had to do it in class, and its just a big distraction to me and everyone else that plays it.
 
Tried it for a few mins and deleted it. Very simple concept but I can see why some would be addicted.
 
This is just me -- and I'm definitely no app developer, but if I were raking in $50k /day then I'd leave that bitch on there lol.
 
A lot of people are saying that he's not going to really pull Flappy Bird from the app stores, but we'll see. I'm sure a lot of people have been downloading the game since he made that announcement and now he's probably making even more than the $50,000 a day that Flappy Bird was making before. It might not be a publicity stunt, but it does look like one.
 
Couldn't handle the fame... or fears for his life since he became rich and famous in a crappy country, which I definitely understand...
 
Oh My Gosh I'm seeing this game everywhere, It'll probably be atleast as big as Candy Crush was in its hay day... its completely pointless for me however, as was Candy Crush.
 
Probably he couldn't stand the attention he was getting. The game got too popular to a point that everyone knew he was the creator. Must have received a lot of pressure that's why he had to call it quits and pulled it off. Well, I'm keeping the game for memorial's sake. Besides, I find the game quite funny and better than Ironpants.
 
If someones wants it for IOS or android but cant it off the app store's cause its been pulled there are plenty of blogs/sites/forums to get it from.

Oh wow, I didn't think he would actually do it. I wonder if he's going to put it back up in a few days or if he really is done for good. I guess once you have a lot of money, but have to deal with that kind of a pressure, you eventually get to a point where the money you're making doesn't matter any more.
 
Just a ploy to temporarily boost downloads and ad revenue. It will be back within a week, not that I intend to ever play it.
