Free Upgrade?

I got Destiny on the PS3 and loved it. Recently upgraded to the PS4 and noticed that if you got the digital version of Destiny for PS3 you could upgrade it to the PS4 version for free.
Does anyone know if I can do that with the hard copy version of the game? Or do I have to go buy Destiny for the PS4?

Unfortunately the upgrade option is only for the digital version, so yes you would have to buy it again.

Damn. Wish I had known!
Oh well, once I have played Advanced Warfare and The Last Of Us to death, I will go for Destiny again. Annoying as I was just getting momentum with my level 22 Titan.
