Game Informer gives Sony an A for E3

As Charlie Sheen might say Sony were winners. Between bashing the Xbone and displaying games like Killzone: SF and Knack Sony did very well. By also presenting Destiny (from the same studio that brought you Halo) they struck a heavy symbolic blow. Finally they presented their stance on indie dev on the PS4 which wins them all the customers fo’evah! Seriously though Sony rocked the conference this time and deserves their A. Now lets see if they can continue hold that level of satisfaction and excellence with the actual console experience. It would have been nice to see playable versions like MS had the recent Comicon, but launch day is approaching so we'll see.

I saw that. Seemed it was mostly for the end knockout, as they said Xbox 180 had more games.

Also, just for everyone else's sake, Microsoft got a "C" and Nintendo got an "I" for incomplete (they said Nintendo didn't show enough to be graded).

Sounds about right, I suppose. They didn't really blow me away, but I suppose a lack of flaws is better than making a bunch of mistakes. I only watched coverage off and on, so I don't really know what the criteria was. Either way, I guess everyone wins in the end.

This year, we really had a right to the best E3 ever!
Sony's conference was amazing! It was contained rich!

What I remember most is the announcement of FF15 and Kingdom Hearts 3! I am now marked for life!

I look forward to GamesCom, because I know that Sony has not said everything. I'm still waiting Naughty Dog and Santa Monica!

Sony will do anything to promote the console!

This was long overdue. I think that Sony made a mess when they unveiled the PS3 before. Now, Sony fixed what went wrong the last time and got a well deserved A for their efforts. They showed the world what makes them a great gaming company. This could very well further boost the sales of the PS 4.

I'd give them an A myself as well. Admittedly, however, I may be a little biased, but it's highly obvious that they've learned their lesson and are much more prepared and capable this time around. They proved their ability for market leadership once, but that could be argued to be just a fluke, but this time around, gaining back their ground after the PS3, they seem to really be hitting a stride. But as you said, we'll have to see what happens in the actual product cycle.

I have to agree with lindbergh and DrRipley, Sony screwed up last time in that they took too long and really undersold their console prior to launch. This time around they understood that the only one capable of making them stand out to consumers was them... It also helps that MS just sort of handed them a victory on a platter. MS needs to fire a lot of people or demote them or something. But yeah I think Sony is currently "winning" the war and so this A is well-deserved.

Yeah, Sony really learned from all of their mistakes and knew exactly how to hit Microsoft where it hurt. The ending bits of the conference especially. They hit it out of the park, and actually got me to convert from Xbox to Sony. I was so impressed. Maybe next E3, Microsoft will take a page out of Sony's playbook, heh.

First things first - I love both your user name and your avatar fo-evah! Next things next - MS is already trying to rip pages out of Sony's playbook. If they were kids in a car their mom would have turned around for home already because MS won't behave and she's tired from a long day at work. Seriously though Sony was All-star on this and they really do deserve all the accolades.

Not surprising, as like I've been saying for quite some time, Sony has been making all the right moves concerning the PS4 and E3 was such a huge example of that. I will admit, they could have definitely showed off some more first party games, but in the end that didn't matter as the announcement of no type of DRM and online requirement was the winner and the$399 price was just the icing on the cake so to speak.
