Game With The Best Graphics

There are a lot of great looking games on the PS2. But I think the best looking game of all on the system was Okami which was made by Clover Studios. It featured beautiful cell shaded graphics. The world was so alive and it allowed players to do a lot of things in the environment. You could make flowers bloom, cut down trees, make it night or day, etc. Did the graphics add to my enjoyment and overall experience? Of course! The beautiful scenery was very relaxing and it prompted me to explore every inch of the world. It was awesome.

It would depend wouldn't it? I loved that Persona 3 and 4 had actual anime, I loved that Okami looked like a painting I could interact with, I loved that SoC was so beautiful and calm, and I loved how great GoW looked even as I wanted to beat the some sense into Krato's empty little head. The PS2 had amazing graphics and it managed to do that over it's entire arc. I mean... wow.

I agree that the GoW and Persona games did a lot to show off the PS3's ability. If you have time and don't mind the spoiler, you could also look up the .hack /gu cinematics and see how awesome they were for almost 6 years ago. Correct me if I'm wrong but I was listening to a podcast and I think they said that there's an anime that took those videos and essentially told the GU story through those, so I'm pretty sure that anime production was part of the hidden talents of the PS 2.

I always thought Gran Turismo had stunning graphics on the Playstation 2. I really can't say much though, my PS2 collection is lacking. Graphics helped a lot but it was never the selling point for me.
