Games you finish multiple times

Back in the olden days it was common for games to be beaten over and over again. I think it was due the to the fact that our parents were in charge of buying our games and for the most part we only got a new game on our birthday, Christmas, or special occasions. Every once in a while we might scam our parents out of a game but for the most part we were stuck with what we had. We would play beat those games over and over again until we could finish them in our sleep. Plus back then games did not come out as often as they do now.

Now days at least for me once I beaten a game that is it for that game time to move on to the next one and try to finish before the next game I want to play comes out in a few days. A lot of the time I donâ??t even finish a game, not because it was bad or I did not like, it is just because another game drew my attention away from the game I was trying to finish. I think I develop gamers A.D.D. To many games not enough time!

For me The Mass Effect Series, Super Mario 3, and Resident Evil 2 are three games that I have finish multiple times and will probably play over and over again in the future. So far I have finish The Mass Effect Series two times from beginning to end . Resident Evil and Super Mario Bros 3 I have lost count on how many times I finish them.

As for games I never finish but had every intention to. All of the GTA out so far, Fallout, Heavy Rain, Eat Lead, Walking Dead Tall Tale Game Just to list a few. I really want to go back and finish them but it been so long since I play them that I donâ??t know if I should start from the beginning or just continue were I left off since I donâ??t remember what was going in the game.

What are some games if any from this or past generation that till this day you pop in every once in a while and finish it from start to finish? What are some games that you never finish because other games took priority?

I have and could play Red Dead Redemption over and over and over again! That game is just everything I wanted in a video game. I love westerns, the characters are fantastic and the landscape and scenery is just... perfection.

I have many games I started with the potential to finish them - currently it's Bioshock Infinite. I loved playing it the first few hours but other games got in the way and I know it hasn't been out for long, but I haven't played the game in a while.

Hmm, I beat Dishonored Twice, Bioshock (one) two or three times, and I've also played through Skyrim/Oblivion quite a few times. The max limit for me though is around 3, and that's only if it has SOME kind of replayability. I almost never go through Single Player campaigns that are games that only include a very linear map structure and gameplay. For example, Call of Duty can only really be played guns blazing and straight through, that's about it. Games like Skyrim allow you to play through as a Stealth/Thief character, Magic/Assault character, do different guilds, different ways of doing the quests, joining different factions. You get the point.

I love Red Dead, I was sad when I finish it I wanted it to keep going. When I first played the game I could not put it down every spare time I got went into that game. They need to hurry up and make a sequel! I did not like the ending, that is the only grudge I have with the game, but hey it is all about the journey not the destination.

By the way Haze I love your avatar I cant wait for the Iron Man 3 to come out only a few days to go! When does it come out in Australia?

Actually came out a week ago. Saw it last week and it is brilliant!

Lucky Bastard! I have another 3 days before i can go see it. I dont want to know specifics but was it better than the last two. The first two movies were amazing.

All I will say is I think the movie is the best out of the Marvel movies (yes, beating The Avengers) :)

Borderlands 2. The game is fantastic, and have played it 3 times already. I've played it for xbox and pc and ps3. Literally every console that sold Borderlands 2.

Vanquish.
The game is so short that i can just pop the disk and complete it in about 2 hours for some mindless fun. It's so addictive and fun, i recommend it to everyone that loves fast paced action games and shooters.

Also, Dark Souls, i think i already completed it about 20+ times, with more than 5 different characters.

How about Portal 2. It's doesn't take long. Not sure about the original Portal. But I love Portal 2. There are a few legacy games that might be on PS3. I enjoyed playing Meet The Robinsons. It was one of my favorite games to play on the PS2.

I have completed Grand Theft Auto 4 and COD Modern Warfare 2 about 5 times each. I've also completed Dynasty warriors multiple times and unlocked every achievement.

For me it would have to be God of War, and not just one particular game, any version of that series deserves to be played multiple times, in my opinion. Especially if you consider the fact that they actually promote this by means of 4 simple game modes/difficulty levels and the ability to retain your weapons and specials every time you complete the game. A close second would be DMC/Devil May Cry, for me, although I couldn't really say the same for the whole series.

The Mass Effect series is definitely one I keep returning to. Every Shep I make is different; they romance different people, make different moral choices, and look like individuals. There's just so much potential for replay in those games! I don't see myself getting tired of them anytime soon.

Ones that I think I'll have problems going back to are the Elder Scroll games, Oblivion and Skyrim. Don't get me wrong - I loved those games. I'm still playing both of them, because the quests seem to be infinite. This is the problem with replaying them, though... there's just too much to do in them! These games are incredibly time-consuming, and you could put in 50+ hours before even starting the main quests. Starting them over again just seems like an incredibly daunting task :/

Tekken 6! I beat the game over and over with every character just to unlock more items and secrets. I have never finished any other game on the PS3 more than Tekken 6. Lol.

Portal and Portal 2. Mw, Mw2. Assassins Creed 3 and ratchet and clank a crack in time. all these games single player campaign missions are just great and I never get tired of them.

Finished god of war 3 twice, second time was on a higher level of difficulty, also Mortal Kombat, Tekken 6 storylines and killzone 2,3. These are just a few of the games I finished multiple times, I just replay the games I really, really like.
