GamesCom 2013 Sony PlayStation 4 Press Conference

I am a little worried that it's called Playstation 4 Press Conference, because that only means no PSVita this time, but one man can hope!

I watched it last night. It was a long long conference. They kept announcing one game after another for more than half an hour. It was really overwhelming.

The biggest announcement that stood out for me was the price drop of the PS Vita. I think that Sony should have done this a lot earlier in order to boost the sales of the handheld much more. But I'm glad that they announced a price drop. This would put it in good competition with the Nintendo 3DS. Shadow of the Beast looked good though.

Only Sony's conference was awesome, but rest was mediocre to be honest.

I was surprised at how excited I got from the Shadow of the Beast trailer. That intro pulled me in immediately: a humanoid with blood dripping off his claws. I liked everything about it, from the setting to the way the main dude summoned shadow clones of himself. I was giddy as hell.

Sony definitely knocked it out the park at GamesCom this year, pretty much like they did back at E3. There entire conference was pretty great and like they said, the focus on the PlayStation 4 was not a understatement. Plus, I'm sure many will agree that it was great to finally have a release date for the PlayStation 4. Now, I just need to see what Sony has in store for the Tokyo Game Show.
