Getting pretty annoyed at being unfairly deleted on the PS4

Any tips on this because i'm considering to permanently put my privacy settings on maximum in the years if been a PSN user i've never experienced so much ignorance in all my life fair enough i have 147 friends most are from my PS3 days but it's not as if your short on friends space on the PS4 on PlayStation Home i use to receive friends requests when i accepted them they was cancelled also my PS3 would add them the sender was already cancelling it privacy settings is the best ever thing that was ever put on PSN the PS4 has more features on the PS4

I don't know if we can call it ignorance, Smoggie. The word "friend" gets a very overrated meaning when we are in the social networks, and PSN is one of them. Nobody would never cancel a friend, but if it is a simple "contact" probably you agree that it's much easier to remove it. Isn't it? My tip is: do not isolate yourself, but choose carefully who you join to. My 2 cents :)

your signature should say my two cents. its like your motto
;)
if your "freinds with someone then you should stay in contact and play with them often. i met this guy named isaac and we play together alot now.

Sometimes you meet people that you will know for the rest of your life, sometimes you meet people that you will have fun with for a short moment. You should never care about being deleted by someone but basically if you have 150 "friends" you can never play with them unless you swap the whole time. So in the end people will believe they don't have a bond with you or play the same games as you and make room for other people or just to have their friends list more organised.

I have a pretty tight group of people I game with. Some of them I'm good friends with in person, others I have never met face to face.

The way I look at things, no such things as online friends or in real life friends. A friend is a friend. And if you live by that type of thinking then sooner or later you will have that tight group of friends, and the other 100 on your friends list won't matter.

Same thing with facebook.
I see countless people with many 100's of friends and most of them they have met, talked too or even messaged. They just add people for the sake of have a high friend count.
Thats why I also dont add PSN friends just for the sake of it,Ive no need to have friends there that I will never play with or chat too.

If you have 100's of people in your PSN friends list you gotta ask yourself: "Will I ever play with them, have I ever played with them.Have I even chatted to them other than, hello or something".

Pointless.

And so I say if you find yoursef getting deleted by one of your PSN friends most likely its someone like that who just added you or you added them for the sake of it. Dont take that personal at all.
People who you have regular contact with or game with wont do that, and if they did it was probably accidental.

Exactly, couldn't agree more with you guys.

Facebook however would be a popularity method that people use to show how "Great" they are.
On PSN that works different because no one cares how many friends you have. They go by other things like adding you on a whim like said before.
But mostly it is also the effect you leave on a person. They believe: This is a cool guy, I can be friends with him. But in the end after adding him they never get to play with him and that effect disappears. Cause in the end PSN friends you share many good memories with won't simply disappear.... Unless you also have bad Memories.

I have to admit I don't really mind when someone deletes me on PSN because its likely to be someone,

I've barely gamed with
I've never really been good friends with them
I probably met a long time ago
I've never chatted with them

Now the only time it does bother me slightly is if it is someone I've gamed with recently or in the past and have chatted with them but even then its got to have been someone I know well and then I wonder 'why did they delete me'

but other than that I tend to just move on.

I friended people who i played with on mature games like gta5. They talk more and play with you than any Everybody rated game on ps3 or ps4 because most E games have 10 year old playing them. Ps3 had alot kids more than wii u lol

Well I mean it's not very surprising. When you sell 80 Wii Us vs. 80 million PS3s, the amount of 10 year olds will definitely be higher ;)

All my friends where accidentally deleted after patch, I believe 2.01, Don't think anyone here was on my list though, only had 4 friends and 2 where my wife's accounts lol

Honestly ask yourself though, out of those 147 friends, how many do you actually communicate with? And is one or two of them gone really going to matter later down the track?
