God of War series

Just finished playing God of War: Ascension. Absolutely loved every minute of it honestly.

SO I was wondering what you guys thought of this series. Do you have a favourite entry? Are you interested in it? Are you NOT interested?

I've only played God of War, God of War: Chains of Olympus (on the PSP) and GOW: Ascension - plus a little bit of GOW III but not really counting that. My favourite would be Ascension, followed closely by the original. The multiplayer aspect of Ascension doesn't really appeal to me. I did the tutorials and had one public match but just didn't find it all that interesting honestly.

I loved God of War III the most followed closely by God of War 2. I loved the story in both games. I also loved how the plot progressed. The only difference is that GOW 3 had much superior graphics as compared to GOW 2. I don't really dig ascension that much because it's very similar to GOW 3. It doesn't make a broad enough leap.

It's... okay.
I never managed to enjoy greek/roman mythology for some reason, so i can't quite enjoy the series as much as the next. Also, the style of the action is only gory, which i don't dislike, but i prefer something more over the top and ridiculous like Devil May Cry.

I haven't played any but God of War 3, and Ascension Demo. I loved both, but God of War 3 more than Ascension, however it was just a demo so I'm not sure if I can compare them.

Ascension was good but it just showed how the series is aging. Aside from the added multiplayer (which I think is lame) I think that it was very very similar to God of War 3. I think that the developers should find a way to revitalize the series and keep things fresh or else their fan base might dwindle.

My favorite God of War game would have to be 3. Loved every minute of that guy especially the final battle vs. Zeus. Not saying any of the other GOW games were bad, I just like this one the most.

I've played most of God of War 1 and 2, but I don't think I've played any of 3. The most common opinion I've heard is that GoW 3 is the best of the series, but it's an opinion-based matter. I enjoyed what I've played so far, though. The God of War saga is on my list of games to buy, so hopefully I'll be able to play through all of them soon.

The God of War series has always been a favorite of mine. Since the first one came out I've been a fan and I just can't wait to see what they do with the franchise when the PS4 comes out.

My friend kindly lent me the first two games of God of War, it was the best thing he's done. I loved them right of the bat and
thought they were both fantastic games! I've since played the third one too, I've not played the latest one though. The storyline
is amazing and I love how it incorporates Greek mythology. The graphics are amazing and the animations and movements are
very smooth. A really great series which is brutal but fun.
