Grand Theft Auto V Video review from IGN

It got a perfect score from them. Yeah baby, it's just too good to not get a perfect score. They are delivering more than one would have expected.

Welp, who expected anything else? It's another numbered sequel of the series, so of course this would be big.
And now the questions begin again, what will be the next city? Any guesses?

So they didn't mention any cons at all? Surely there must be something they can nitpick on.

I'm not disputing that GTA 5 isn't a great game, but it seems like it's a lot easier for games to get a perfect rating nowadays.

I remember during the early 2000s the only game that got a perfect rating was Soul Calibur and Ocarina of Time.

I cant even picture them making another GTA to be honest, i have no idea what kind of setting theyd pick other than ones theyve already done. Its going to be very very hard for them to come up with a new setting and characters.

I think they need to go way back like the 1930's or 40's coming out of the Depression and right into the World War II era in a big city like Chicago or New York and really go for broke with all the set pieces and music it could work and Rockstar is just the company to make it work. I am not surprised that GTA V got a perfect rating the game looks and feels so good that it has to get that, not only that but this is the deepest game I have ever played and rivals even the biggest RPG's as far as hours of game play it takes to reach 100% complete. Cannot wait for GTA VI: Lost Generation coming 2015.

Seems to me they could go into the future or the past. If they go with a future setting for the next GTA then it would give them more creative freedom as their imaginations can run wild with it. If they into the past, then they would obviously have to get everything as accurate as possible in regards to the surroundings such as architecture, clothing, accents etc.
I would prefer going into the past though. Can you imagine all the storylines they could explore in 1960s America? the civil rights movement would be on there for sure.

Seems like a pretty spot on review. I personally never like video game reviews by big companies like ign and such but they do make valid points most of the time.

The review is fairly good. I am going to hold off judgment until the online component is active. That will determine if this is one of the best games ever made. The controls bother me a little but I can't complain that much. This is very high quality. The police also are able to bust you fairly quickly compared to the older GTA's. I give it a 4.5 out of 5 right now but I could bump that to a 5 if the online play is as good as predicted.

Wow, perfect score huh?

I was kind of expecting to get this game for my BDay, but that didnt happen. I may end up buying it for myself instead. I have $50 walmart credit which i was planning to use for XBL, but i can always get GTAV now and get XBL later...

Well, GTA:V is really a great game.

Bad thing I don't even own PS3 yet. haha.

I'll just probably wait until the release of PS4 next month and try to play GTA in there.

Yes. The online element puts this game at a perfect score. It is on my top five all time list. I would definitely use the $50 walmart credit on GTA V. It will hold you over till the next generation consoles hit. I can't stop playing this game!
