Grand Tourismo 6 box art unvieled

I've never been into this series, but looking at this certainly sparked a bit of my interest in it

I feel like Gran Turismo was a bit of an on and off for me, some of the games were good and some were bad but I've never really bought them at launch. I usually wait for a while till the price drops and I end up buying them second hand, I feel like it will be the same with this one. It just doesn't look all that exciting to put out $60 to buy it on launch.

I prefer the sleek Gran Turismo 5 one, but this one isn't that bad either, really like the european box art. Will get when it gets a version with everything or a price cut.

As as 360 gamer, I have never seen any footage from this series, but now that I have my PS3 with me and my PS4 pre-ordered, I hope to play more of this series on my PS3 and next gen iterations on my PS4.

GT5 was the first game I bought for my PS3. To be honest it underwhelmed me. The hype that was surrounding it, I really expected it to be the best damn racing game ever. And since I was a huge racing game fan I bought it without thinking much.

Hopefully GT6 will do better and won't disappoint me. Till now the game is looking fantastic, let's hope it runs as well too!

Oh and love the boxart too!

Typical. Haha. What car did they use? For a racing buff, this box art would probably impress. But I think the casual gamer would not be enticed to buy. The blue color is too monotonous. I'm a fan of the series but my interest in it diminished starting with GT4.

They haven showed us much of this game, have they? So I for one would wait and see how things pan out before jumping to any conclusion.

Do you dislike this series? Well, Iam not gonna ask why since I advocate and support freedom of speech, haha.

I do, but it's simple really. I just dislike realistic racing sims. I like arcade racing games, but the realistic racing sims are hard and boring for me, so yeah... nothing against Gran Turismo itself, certainly, but the genre as a whole.

Well, I will admit that I don't like racing sims either. But I don't think Grand Tourismo series is a racing sim. It's a good mixture of sim and arcade.

I like the box art for it. I have played Gran Turismo 5 because I tried to get into racing games. Although it failed, it is a really good game and I still play it from time to time. I really like the graphics on it so on number 6 they will be even better. It is not at the top of my to get list, but it is not at the bottom either.

I felt the same way at first but I think it was mostly because the game was hyped so much. I'm a huge GT fan so I felt like I was waiting forever, especially cause it kept getting delayed. With all the time they spent on it and all the delays I was expecting a game that would completely blow my mind. So naturally I was disappointed with the amount of cars and lack of races/events. That being said I still ended up playing it just as long if not longer than the other games in the series. Even after I finished all the events (except for the formula gt event and the endurance races) the online special events and the car trading within the online community kept me playing.

I thought about it after and I realized it only disappointed me because I was expecting so much cause of all the hype. If you look at without those high expectations it was an amazing racing game.

My expectations for 6 are high though, 5 was the first GT on a new console and I feel like they ended up rushing a lot of things cause they couldn't delay it any longer. Hopefully they've been able to learn from 5 and this ends up being the best Gran Turismo ever made.

It's pretty, but it doesn't really have as much identity / personality / recognizability as GTA boxart, for example. I think it's understandable, though, since there have been so many racing games already, and you can only have so many ways to showcase a car. Or maybe it's just because I'm not really a fan of the series to begin with anyway.

Certainly looks kind of cool for a racing game's box art, quite a lot better than a few other's that I have seen. While I myself have never really been interested in the Grand Turismo, though I have played a few in the series, I guess box art is kind of an important aspect if you're trying to sell your game.
