Green pixels

lowvolt

New Member
I just hooked up my PS4 the other day, and just bought BF4 yesterday. I noticed green pixels while playing today. If I turn off display and back on they clear up temporarily, if I turn off receiver and back on they clear up temporarily. If I unplug the HDMI cable and back in, it clears up temporarily. Has anyone else experienced this?

This problem is similar to yours, what you are experiencing is called "artifacts", and I'm sorry to tell you this but it might be a sign that your unit is faulty. I would call support or take it to the store where I bought it and have it replaced.

I just hooked my PS3 back up and so far no green pixels. I was worried because I just installed a 50 foot HDMI cable. I was hoping it wasn't the cable causing the problem.

Contact Sony ASAP. The motherboard is going bad. Best to get that replaced while it is still under warranty. They will probably send another unit out and place a hold on your CC until the bad PS4 is received back to them. We had to do that with our Kinect on our Xbox One that went bad a few days after we got it and they replaced it no problem. Sony will do the same, especially since the console is so new.

That's right, it's a clear sign of faulty hardware, the good thing about buying from reputable companies is that they would not hesitate to replace the unit to keep the customer happy, I have heard really good things about Sony's customer service.

That sucks man! Sony is good at warranties so you better take advantage of it. It'll be worth it, it sucks, but at least Sony will apologize for it and not make you buy another one. My bud had his Xbox get the ring of death the first 2 weeks he got it. They didn't do crap for him, just sent him to a bunch of links and phone calls.
