GRID: Autosport announced!

I'm a few days late about this, but better late then never... right?

Anywho, Codemasters have announced GRID: Autosport - the newest instalment in the franchise.

Unfortunately for next-gen/current-gen owners, it will NOT be coming to the PS4. Instead it will be arriving on the PS3 June 27 in Europe and June 24 in the US.

The third entry in the Grid series accommodates five very different styles of racing: touring, endurance, open-wheel, tuner competitions and street racing. Each mode features unique features and the entire game contains over 100 routes across 22 locations dotted around the world.

Some of Grid Autosport's features have been the result of close consultation with the Grid community, such as the return of an in-car view. The game's multiplayer component is founded on Codemaster's RaceNet system, which regularly provides players with new challenges and for the first time allows players to form online clubs.

Not going to lie...I can't wait for this game. It's the first GRID game to actually remind me of a TOCA game. TOCA 3 was one of my favourite PS2 games, racing lawn mowers was always fun lol.

Anyone else going to get this game ? It should keep me going until a next gen racer arrives.

Still not a full sim but if it's on the level of DiRT 3 or above that then I'll take it

The TOCA and GRID series is my favorite racing series of all time. I find them much more exciting than Gran Turismo, especially the way that the campaign is laid out. I will definitely be buying this game as soon as it is out.

Ugh. As far as racers go this series will forever be the lowest common denominator in my opinion.
