GTA V anyone else pre ordered the PS4 version?

No pre order at the moment.
Will buy it just before release somewhere online if I can find it cheaper than I can retail here in AUS.
I dont mind waiting for it to arrive in the post.
But again,I may just end up going to a department store like Target or something and get it there,dunno yet.
 
I haven't, I don't think I'll get it again unless I'm at a loss for games.

I'd like a second playthrough but then again I've already got a copy on the PS3....so ya know.
 
I beat it on my PS3, and have played it so much (just general open play... go out and shoot people... it's great therapy!) that I had to have it on the PS4... in fact that's the whole reason I bought the PS4. I pre-ordered my copy on Friday, and picked up my Destiny Glacier bundle last night. If you pre-order you get $1M to split between GTA Online and Story mode.

Now I wanna figure out if it's possible to port my Story save game to the PS4...

No,Im pretty sure that wont be possible.

I had it PS3 too and Im still really forward to getting the PS4 version.

Still no pre order,if I can't find it cheap enough online Ill prob pick it up locally on or around the launch day at a Target or K-Mart or something for the 'hopefully' cheaper new release price of around AUD $67.

Forget PSN digital download though,here in AUS on the PSN store they want AUD $100 for it while on the US PSN store they want US $60.

In anycase Ill buy physical copy only.
 
I will buy the CD at the first day it comes to the market...

I played it at PS3 for months and I am impatient to play it again at PS4 too...

Well,went into a Dick Smith store today here in AUS and pre ordered it.(Also CoD AW).If you pre order in store you can get it for AUD $60.(As well as a few other titles).
 
Is there any benefit to preordering? Like you get different content? I will just walk into a store on release day and buy it. I do not really understand the pr ordering for something that will be readily available everywhere. When it was originally released I thought it would be sold out, but they had so many copies and were never in short supply.
 
I used to pre-order games in my teens, as back then I was one of those sorts of people who just had to have it on launch day. To be 'one of the first'. Each to their own of course, but I've learnt a lot since those days…

Firstly, I can only think of one occasion where I've walked into the shop of which I've pre-ordered it from and not found a numerous copies sitting there waiting to be sold. It actually took longer to stand in front of the checkout whilst the staff went into the back room to find my pre-ordered game, rather than just picking one up off the shelf and paying for it there and then. Generally speaking, supply of a brand new game (especially if it’s a popular series) is usually well catered for.

Secondly, I began to learn games don't 'go off' if you don't get them early…! They just become easier on the wallet the longer you're prepared to wait!

I had reserved a copy of GTA 5 the day it was released. I saw it on best buys website and that I could reserve for in store pickup. I had never done this before and thought this game was HUGE and going to be sold out so I clicked the reserve and went to pick it up. The guy said the same thing that it took longer to go get the reserved copy and that I should just ignore my reservation and go buy one like normal. It is so easy and cheap to produce the discs for these games, there really should be no shortage. Costs them pennies per game I am sure.

When you pre-order a game you usually get some type of bonus content like for GTA 5 I'm pretty sure you get $1,000,000 in-game cash to split between story mode and online mode or something like that and also if you pre-order the game at lets say GameStop you are able to pick it up at 12:01AM of the release date. (select GameStop locations)

I pre ordered simply cause the store I pre ordered them at are offering them cheaper than anywhere else Ive seen if you do.
 
No but I am planning to pick it up Launch day or Christmas depending on if I have a job soon or not
 
I preordered it in September. I trade/buy at gamestop so often that I always have extra credit and I just use that to preorder the next game I want. It doesn't hurt if you do it and it's kind of nice to have some of the bill paid when I actually go to get it. In the early ps1/ps2 days you had to preorder hit games or you wouldn't get it on day one and I think it just stuck around, even when the games were more available.

As far as waiting for the price to go down instead of getting games on the day it comes out, that's great if you're on a budget. Part of the whole gaming experience for me is the anticipation of the release. It's not worth it to save 20 bucks by waiting a couple months to play. In the end, it's 60 bucks for hours upon hours of entertainment. I used to drop 100 dollars in the bars when I was younger, buying drinks for the ladies, and being successful only half the time. That was only a 6 hour span. I'll get a hundred hours out of GTA 5. If a game doesn't have me dying to get it on release day, it's probably not that interesting to me.

Just my personal experience tho. I realize everyone is different.
