GTA V - Your first impressions!

I like it. I especially like the rockstar social club where you can take/uplaod selfies from during your gameplay. It is going to take a while to get used to the driving mechanics. The game is incredibly addictive. I haven't done much in terms of the missions. I've been freelancing/roaming around the city for the most part. The cars are sick. The graphics are superior. I really don't have any major complaints yet.

Well, I hate to bring bad news to you, but there is a trophy in the game for getting to Rank 100! So I'm guessing it will be a looooonnnnggg grind. And I really do hope there is a free roam in GTA V. I don't see why they couldn't do it. But who knows.

Just checked my stats after playing this arvo and am currently 72% through. I've done 60/69 missions so I'm getting to the end. Which is a shame, but hey - what I've been wondering is what DLC you reckon they will release!

Good question! Im thinking since when you look at the wall on the right in the gun shop and it still lets you go over all the little holders, that they will be adding a weapons DLC of some kind. If not im guessing they are going to add some pretty awesome DLC that feels just like the story just like they did in the last one with The Lost and Damned and The Ballad of Gay Tony. I kind of hope they dont do that though because it was a bit annoying switching to those add ons just to play a specific free roam or get certain vehicles. I hope this time they make the DLC to add on to the base game somehow but i dont know how they will do that story wise.

Either way, im buying the DLC no matter what! Oh and as for the level 100 thing, UGHH but im not totally against having to earn your appearance. It was just that in GTA IV they really didnt do a good job of making ranking up a fun thing to do and if you wanted to rank up you just had to play a bunch of mindless Hangmans Noose or whatever lol.

I've only completed 10% or so of the game, but I've enjoyed what I've played. I plan on getting all of the achievements and all that stuff, so I believe it's going to be awhile. I stayed away from all the coverage of the game, so I wasn't sure what I expected.

This game sure is better than the awful piece of crap that GTAIV turned out to be. GTAIV was such an extremely boring game with crappy vehicle controls and mostly annoying characters. Everything in GTAV is much better, specially love how the cars handle and that they didn't mute the colors again. There's a lot of fun stuff to do and the 3-protagonists mechanic is fantastic. Switching between the 3 can be fun, specially when switching to Trevor.

Loving the game and I wasn't even hyped for it.

Whoa whoa whoa, GTA IV was one of my FAVORITE games there was. Even though the main reason for this is the multiplayer free roam, it was still an amazing game. The vehicle controls felt as if you actually needed to know what you were doing to be able to function the car properly. From a singleplayer ONLY point of view, then yeah it definitely wasnt a game that could last you a huge amount of play time overall but when you go to free roam, you meet all kinds of people who were all unknowns. For me it was almost like a DayZ sort for thing. I would go out, collect a ton of weapons and ammo, get a nice car, and look for people to find out whether they are friend or foe. Most of them being foe because they have a bloodlust or something lol but the few friendly ones i found, i had amazingly fun times with! I even met a couple of guys who found a ton of places to parkour (Yep thats right i said parkour in GTA IV) When you experience what we did as parkour youd probably have a lot of fun.

Maybe im just blinded by my good times with it but i feel that GTA IV deserves way more credit than youre giving it and i loved the vehicle mechanics, i have no idea what youre talking about xD

My end game impressions: THIS GAME WAS AWESOME I NEED TO 100% IT!!!!!! Amazing game simply amazing and once the multiplayer is up its going to be even more fun! I cannot wait!!!!

I'm gonna get some hate for this, I liked the story, the graphics and the gameplay, what I didn't like is how much they focused on the "virtual life" thing, travelling, hobbies, building business, and so much more. Another reason for people to stay at home and do the things they can't do in real life...

I like a bunch of other people feel almost overwhelmed with the depth and scope of this game. I mean, I have kids now and cannot play for 16 hours straight which is what this game will require to accomplish the myriad of things to do within it. Overall the graphics are slick, the GTA feel is there and I can't wait to dive in to each and every nook and cranny that this new installment has to offer. Long live ROCKSTAR games and GTA.

I think some hobbies were a little unnecessary like Yoga, investing in stocks, golf and stuff, but other than that i think the traveling, hunting, and even being able to attend in biking competitions and off road stuff is a really fun addition! As long as it didnt get in the way of their main work then i dont think it was bad to add some neat little stuff like that. I wish theyd bring back favors for being friends with certain people though it kinda sucks not having that fun aspect in the game. Like maybe one person youre friends with, you could call and they would put the last driven car of yours into your garage or something. Its definitely lacking some misc stuff that i liked in GTA IV.

So far I love it! I think I'm only at like 15% though, I don't have enough time to play. But I'm totally digging the characters and storyline and missions so far. I love all the side missions, I honestly may have even done more of the side missions then the actual story. There is just so much to do I can't decide what to do first ever. You also have to enjoy just running around merking people and running from the cops!

i really like uploading selfies to the social network that rockstar provides. the game is amazing. did anyone see the ufo? i saw it on youtube. you have to do a lot of legwork to get it, allegedly. i enjoy this game much more than the previous versions and can't wait for online play to start up.

I got to take a peak when my husband played with his cousin and I'd say the graphic is insanely good. Boy..those dirty scene couldn't be more real ;o The map is oh so big and I love the soundtrack as well. The side missions seem interesting, his cousin is obsess with achievement so I have a feeling at some point ,he'd try to get it all. My husband has been hinting 'We should visit...this weekend'. Dude has never been that into visiting his cousin that much. GTA V brings you closer to your family, boys :p

Does anyone else feel like it is too easy for the police to waste you? I feel like once I hit three stars then I am cooked no matter what I do. I feel like they made it too difficult to go around shooting up random people in the game and running into random cars/people. I guess they are discouraging violence in a way. I don't care much for the soundtrack. I tend to listen to my own music while gaming. Load up some youtube videos of special footage/cheats if you find any really good ones, please.

Finally got my copy today.
Looks better than the previous GTA,and yeah, cars defo control better.Havent tried a motorcycle yet.
Have'nt really done anything yet just running and driving around mostly for a quick look around..oh...and defo had to check out the strip club :o...or at least the first one available..are there more?

Pretty sure theres only one strip club. Also, as tempting as it may be to keep blasting through story missions, make sure you keep roaming around having fun or else the game will fly by! Happened to me but im still having fun with offroading and stuff :P

On a side note since i dont feel like i should make a thread for this, do you guys know what radio station plays in the store Suburban? Im really trying to find that song that goes "I aint got nobody left but you, you, you. So take me back now" And it has a chorus of some girl saying "Tattooooooooo" Really crappy description of it but if anyone could help me out thatd be great!

I heard that song while driving and loved it, it's a very nice song and I've been looking for it for the past few days, hard to find since it doesn't appear on track lists on GTA 5 radio stations playlists, etc.

I found it today, it's Lucky Boy by Outlines. youtube [dot] com/watch?v=E6jZ2RnWerE
