guestions about games and hdd

speed

New Member
hi
wanting to buy a ps4 which have 10 digital games installed
so what I need to have from the person I buy it from to make sure i have to be able to download them again later after format upgrade etc?

also trying to understand
what happends when I install lets say a 1tb disk, does the old disk still hold the games and I can swap between them?

could I install lets say 1tb disk and use the old original hdd as external so I can still play the games?

if I clone the disk, will they both work so I don't loose my games if the hdd ever breaks?

I think you must have his/her account datas (ID and PW) since digital games are hooked to the personal account.

I guess you can swap between them.

No, at the moment we can't read an external HDD with our PS4.

I suppose it works, but since the digital games are related to your account, you can download them anytime, even if you loose them.

thanks for your input

other thing I take it you cannot swap 1hdd to another console?
they will be locked to the console I guess?

and are there different revisions of playstation 4?
anything to look out for when buying?

I have never tried it but I guess you can't just swap HDDs so easely. At least, without initializing it.

Nope, the PS4 hardware is the same. Firmware will be upgraded once you turn it on and connect to the net for the first time.

ok in the end I got another one I got myself a used unit of 6 months with 2 controllers + 2 discs watchdogs and call of duty advance warfare
and a remaining 1.5 years of guarantee

first now I need to look for a 2tb hdd I guess
I found this one "SAMSUNG M9T - Disco duro (2 TB, 5400 rpm, 6,4 cm/2,5", SATA II)"
some report it didn't worked good with the ps4
but later reports it worked good after latest updates
anyone can confirm?

anyway thanks for your input

No i found this out the hard way. And that is once you take out the HDD it wipes all data on it.
