Most of the time these guys set up a page to commiserate with other people who enjoy this kind of thing. One will set up a donation page with a fund. You can bet it always goes past the necessary amount. So its free money to the guy, spent in the way the donors wanted it to be.

It's a sad attempt for attention. You have to pity the guy, he wasted so much money and in an instant that money was wasted. Why would you even do that? Even if you get a few views on youtube that means nothing. Think about the shortage of consoles when it was released, if he had never bought it someone else would have been able to and that ps4 would still be alive. RiP ps4 that never saw the light of day ;(.
