Have you ever broken anything in frustration?

I don't get too angry playing games, but I can lose my temper sometimes. That said, I've never broken anything - the worst I'll do is slam my fist down on the couch or something like that.

My brother on the other hand is less controlled, and I've seen him throw controllers a lot (ironically he doesn't understand why his controllers are always breaking). The worst was a few months ago however, when he got so angry that he turned the game off, removed his Fifa 13 disc and hurled it at the wall, causing it to shatter. I was away at uni at the time, so I missed this - but I took great delight in hearing the story retold to me.

What's the worst you've ever done in anger? Broken a disc? A controller? Furniture? Another person? Or the worst of all - a console?

Thankfully not. The worst I managed so far is slamming my mouse into the desk, to the point where it came apart. Nothing broke though, it falls apart all the time. It might be because I'm more careful about my equipment, but I've never seen myself (or anyone) damage their monitors/consoles/TVs by slamming things into them or anything that extreme. Youtube is full of those videos though. I guess some people are just easily angered. :D

Haven't broken anything so far, but I have come really close to it when I was younger a little less patient. My friends though, they have broken dozens of controllers, keyboards and mice. It's just a game, there's no reason to be mad at the equipment. I believe that almost every single death in a video game can be traced to something that you did wrong (besides lag issues, but that's a different story).

Oh my, there are so many things I have broken in frustration. Last summer I got hip to gamersaloon, the website. While on that site, all I did was gamble my money away. Everytime I lost a game I would get so mad. I remember I broke all my consoles controllers out of frustration, and this was not all at once, but one by one. Then there was a time when I broke my NBA 2K12 out of frustration, I snapped it right in half lol.

I broke my keyboard once playing counter strike back in the day. Saved money for 3 rounds straight on dust to buy an awp. Get killed as soon as round starts by friendlyfire.

Once I was playing Tekken 3 and near to lose this game suddenly my younger brother comes and Snatched the keyboard because he want to play this game. I get angry at him and in frustration I broke the keyboard.

Heh,well, real gamer must be relaxed all the time(raging about bugs and lags are exceptions)!

I agree with this statement completely. I never really get frustrated with gameplay, but I vaguely recall myself barely keeping it together on some occasions that I encountered some bugs and slow computers.

Yes, I've broken a PS2 controller back in the day when I was playing a really important match of Tekken4. It was a friendly tournament in my house, but you know how it is, you get really pumped. So I was doing pretty good, and managed to get into the finals, so the guy who was going against me, proposed me a bet, 10$. I accepted it, but I lost the game and shot my controller to the ground with such force, it broke into pieces. Fun times! hahaha

Ok. I can understand losing control once and getting all destructive. But what you did just sounds plain stupid. I mean how sits and breaks there controllers one by one.

Yes I have, few times, I broke a hole in the wall but that was mainly cause I got angry and tripped. The second time I threw my controller in the air, though I planned to catch it, I missed due to the anger and it hit the ground. Then I ended up kicking my recliner and broke a piece off and hurt the hell out of my shoe. This was on MW2 and ever since; I barely go "damn!" or "grrr!". I learned my lesson.

When i was younger i would destroy my original Xbox controllers in a fit of rage, but since then i remain rather calm while gaming. If i start to get a little upset i turn off the game because at that point its no longer entertainment.

I've tossed a few controllers in my day. Interestingly though, I never broke a controller that way. They would usually break in other ways like messed up joysticks.

No, but I've been angry enough to be about to do it, but I realise just before I'm about to do it that what I'm about to smash costs money, and sometimes a lot of money. My brother once got angry and through his new phone really hard and far into a field. Needless to say, about 20 minutes later he was looking for it and it was all smashed up.

I broke my game boy after I couldn't finish super mario land, kept dying on a level and I head butt it. Then I cried, I was like... 12. I cried like a baby with this broken game boy. :(

A joystick, while playing FIFA 12 (I think), with some of my buddies. It was a frustrating situation, and in anger, I threw my joystick to the ground (HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO THE GROUND!!...no one gets this reference? Oh, okay. It half-broke. It kinda still works, but it lost it's connectivity, so you'd have to keep the wire 'put in' in order to work.

I have broken many things out of frustation, mostly controllers though. It is just so hard to control my anger when money is on the line.

I was playing rocky against a friend long story short got heated started fighting fell through sliding wardrobe door in my room.

I once dented my controller once, but that was pretty minor, other than that I can't say I have broken anything.
