How difficult was it to get your ps4?

Did you have to wait in line for hours? I got extremely lucky as I had not preordered mine and remembered an hour before launch. I was planning on going to target at 5 in the morning to wait but my wife told me call Walmart. I called them at 11 at night and he told me a couple people called to ask but he couldn't tell me if there was a line. I ran to Walmart getting there about 1120 and was third in line and they only had 5 extra.

Super easy. I didn't pre-order it.. To be honest, I did not plan on getting it right away.

Me and my sisters boyfriend (who also did not pre-order) went to Best Buy at 9pm expecting there to be a short line at that time.. Wrong.. 250 people in line. Said no way and headed for home. At around 10pm on release night, I said let's try Walmart... Was expecting it to be a gong show like they always are on midnight releases.. Not a soul there. Just a sign that says 'Take a number - 250 unreserved consoles available at midnight'. I was #91, he was #92. Came back at midnight, they called out numbers sequentially and was gone by 12:43am. Was not a mad house, or circus.

I was actually surprised how great it went. These things usually devolve into some sort of medieval wonk bating. But no, we all stood around and waited. They still had a few left - I was actually surprised too how many unreserved they had, since Best Buy in Canada (other then two or three locations) could only guarantee 100 unreserved at the midnight launch.

250 extra consoles? Are you serious? Wow. Where are you located? They only had 5 here. Anyway looks like you and I did the same thing.

I had a friend who preordered one but then decided he didn't want it so I bought it from him. Needless to say I had it very easy.

Well, I got mine about a week late because of the Ebay seller. He actually tried to get it back even after he waited over a week to send it. Then he puts in an ebay ticket to get his PS4 back. All in all, I finally was able to get it and I got to keep it and he got the money. He was also nice enough to install everything despite all that. haha crazy ass people in this world.

It was super hard. I pre-ordered on Amazon, went to work the night of the midnight release, came home at 12:00 a.m. and my PS4 was sitting on the dinner table.

<-- This Panda is jealous :/ Amazon is pretty damn good for orders. I prefer them over Ebay though if I can't find something on Amazon I go to Ebay.

I didn't stand in line but I had to wait 48 hours to collect my pre-ordered unit because I had to leave on a business trip. I couldn't focus on the job at hand because I was thinking about my PS4 the entire time lol. I immediately went and collected it as soon as I landed. I think the feeling of having it so near yet so far was sure hard for me.

I had no intention of getting mine until spring 2014 at the earliest. Didn't pre-order, didn't bother going in line on release day/eve or anything. The week following the release I went to futureshop.ca just to see if any store had any in stock in my city. Sure enough, the one 5 minutes from my work had them available. I called, she said there was about ten left but they won't reserve them. So hoped in a coworkers car (mine was getting an oil change), and sure enough I was about 8 in line when I got there (they had upwards to 20 consoles left though I think).

I didn't even buy a game at that point. Just the system. I figured it's $400 now or $400 in spring, doesn't really matter price point wise.

In order to attain my PS4 I had rent a helicopter. That alone costed me 2,500. Then I scheduled a free fall drop over WalMart on Black Friday to beat the angry horde of shoppers. As soon as the doors opened I was dropped directly in front of the stack of PS4s.

Long story short, I got my PS4.

I pre-ordered mine 6 months in advance, and I'm glad I did! They all all out of stock here in the UK. The only option is to pay big money on eBay, wait, be lucky and find it in a store, or... get the XBOX One. :)
