The NES, SNES, Genesis, and other old-school consoles have had their share of fun during their time, but now they live on in emulators playable on the PC. If console gaming was to be construed strictly, emulators will remain to be living memories of the systems they have passed on. However, in playing roms on the emulator, you utilize your keyboard, which would make emulators and roms within the ambit of PC gaming. Should emulators be considered a part of PC gaming along with various PC games, or are they a class of their own, meaning that they will still be classified as console games and not PC games? One exception to note here is the DosBox emulator which plays PC games at the time of the MS-DOS and Windows 95-era games, so technically, the DosBox would more or less be considered as PC gaming.
