How many playstation 3's have you had?

Just 1, I've been rather gentle with it and made sure that it never had the chance to overheat or anything like that. Bought it I think 3 years ago and I've not had any problems since, but then I'm a fairly casual console player, I don't really play more than once or twice a week for a couple of hours so there shouldn't be many problems at all.

I had the original fat 60 gig PS3 that died after 3 years of service. It was a sad day. The day after, I was surprised by my wife because she's awesome, she picked up 120GB slim PS3 and a copy of Black OPs; it wasn't even my birthday.

Don't quote me, I think the failure rate for a PS3 is 10%. So that means I'm either unlucky or extremely lucky.

I have only had one PlayStation 3 version which was the PlayStation 3 Slim 250GB. So far it is working flawless but I am only using it as Blu-ray player since I have a gaming PC built.

I actually haven't had a PS3, I got a 360.

Yes, I regret this. I regret it all the time. I'm missing out on awesome games like anything by NIS, Yakuza, Tokyo Jungle and Demon's Souls, to name a few. It's even worse now that BlazBlue: Chronophantasma will apparently screw 360-owning fans of the franchise by being PS3 exclusive...

So will you be grabbing a PS3 now since it's a lot cheaper, or will you be holding out for the PS4?

I've only ever had one PlayStation 3, the one i got as a gift back in 2009. The system itself still runs great. The problem I tend to have is with the controllers. The initial controller I had with the system died after about only 2 years, then another wired controler I had didn't last all that long either. I'm hoping that the PlayStation 4 controller doesn't give me the same
problem.

Since the PS4 has no backwards compability, I am definitely looking forward to picking up a PS3, specially since I have a huge backlog of games thanks to Playstation Plus.

I currently on my second. I am not mad about this because I was one of those kids who bought the big fat one with the most GB (honestly I forget) and that bad boy lasted me about 6 years. It got the YLOD of me and for the amount of time I have played my PS3, I was surprised it lasted that long. It isn't like I took perfect care of it, but hearing my friends complain that their slim PS3 are dying within a year I was proud. My second PS3 is the newest model and it won't be used for much longer, so I do not see myself buying another one.

My first PS3 is still going strong. I treat all my electronics with care all the time. Even though I want to rage so bad, I have to hold it in. I don't keep my PS3 on for more than 6 hours, so overheating isn't an issue for me.

My husband and I have gone through three consoles. The first console stopped working since he always played his soccer games on it (FIFA, I believe) and after that we decided to get a new one instead of fixing it.

A few months after, I decided it wasn't a good idea to have a Playstation since he needs to be responsible. I sold it on eBay and he wasn't too happy about that - haha.

After this, he got another Playstation 3 which I started playing. I found PS Home and thought it was cool I could dress up my avatars like barbies and whatnot. Yeah, it was a lot of fun. Since I was playing too much instead of working, my husband sold it. I wasn't very thrilled about it either. Oh well - we ended getting another one later.

It's like a never ending cycle...

I have only had one luckily.
I haven't had any problems with it so far, however it is only a couple years old so yea it is not like I have had it since they were released.
