How many controllers are you guys planning to get? I am planning to get 4 so that it enough for the people who come to my house but sadly, it is quite costly.

So, how many are you guys planning to get? 1? 2? 3? 4? 5??

Share with us how many and who you are going to play with!

I want to get one to start off with since the PS4 is so highly priced. I don't want to get a fake controller even if it does come out. Maybe we can just use our hands without any controllers? Lol the future!

My bro gets his PS4 tonight. I'll probs get him a controller for Christmas so we can both play. BTW, what's everyones opinion on the new controller, does it feel much better or are the online reviews just exaggerated?

Knack, Resogun, Diablo 3, CoD: Ghosts, Divekick, Tiny Brains and pretty much all sports games can be played in local co-op, there might be more I missed. They're not all launch window, though.

I will get one more soon. But with the Steam sale, I will go broke again. XD.

I bought 3 additional ones (so I had 4 total) when I got my PS3. I hardly used all 4. With my PS1 and PS2, I loved playing offline multiplayer games and had a multitap for both consoles. Was hoping to see more offline multiplayer with the PS3, but there honestly wasn't that many. I did play a few 4 player games, but not as many as I would have liked. I think when I get my PS4, I'll just get one additional controller.

The problem with is I am always on budget when making any purchase. That being said I doubt myself for the number of adapters I may end up buying. If not none I would be able to get one for my brother.

At the moment just the one, at least until prices drop. Pass and play gaming does suck but I can't jsutify $100 for a controller. Hopefully more games utilise split screen gaming so that coop is easier.

I'd only ever get two unless there was a massive sale. I think 4 is a bit too much at least for me. I'm sure I would get some use out of the extra pair, but I don't think it would be of enough use to warrant the purchase. Like I said, though, if I could get them dirt cheap, I definitely would still prefer having 4 because why not? :)

Well, it's really only me who is playing my ps4 so I am only going to buy one controller. My girlfriend lives with me but she doesn't play anything so I don't need anything else at home.If I want to play with people I will play online.

Usually I buy 2 when I first get one, but eventually I'll probably have 4 for when friends are over. Also it's a matter of having backup controllers. That's just me though, and I buy 4 for all the consoles that I own. It just makes my life a little easier when I have that many.

I have 2 right now. Originally, it was so 2 can play at once, but it's a great solution to never having a dead controller.

I'm probably only going to get two. It's just better for me and you always want a backup in case something happens to one of them. But I definitely see myself buying more in the future, but yeah I usually only go with two in the beginning when I buy a console.

Why hasn't old school rules returned yet? I'm getting a second controller, but after reading SpaceTiger's suggestion, I'm reconsidering.

I remember SpaceTiger being very strict about his 20 minutes of gameplay rule. You had to play on another save file from the start so you didn't have all the cool power ups and all of that. You had to sit through the in game tutorial for like 10-15 minutes. This was prior to games putting in Skip Scene.

Really genius when you think about it. A bit dickish, but genius.
