How many sports games do you play a year on your PS3?

I am asking this simple question because I am really a diehard sports gamer. Does anyone consider themselves a diehard sports gamer? I consider myself a madden diehard gamer head freak. I play madden sports 365 days in a year on my PS3. I play until the next madden drops. I know there are some real diehard sport gamers. I would like to hear from you! How much of a diehard sports gamer are you?

I'd say about 3. I don't get the new sports game every year but I usually get Madden, NBA, or Fifa for my Ps3.

I love the Madden games; they're the reason I'm into football in general. I started playing them a while back (I believe on the PS1), and gradually picked up the rules of the game to the point where I could watch real games and actually know what was going on. I don't play them on the PS3, not because I don't want to, but because I haven't had a PS3 for very long and I'm so used to Xbox 360 controls that I can't really see myself switching.

Probably just 1 or 2. Not a big sports gamer with the exception of the occasional Madden and Cricket (yes Cricket, throw your tomatoes at will )

Two. I'm a huge NFL and MLB fan. So I always have to get myself the newest Madden and of course MLB the show. I love my sports games <3. I spend tons and tons of hours on them, depending on what I'm in the mood for. I make multiple custom players, sometimes I'll make teams, different franchises under different personal rule sets. It's a lot of fun.

None. I'm never been much of a sports game fan. I can't really say why though. Maybe it's because I've never been much of sports guy in real life ever. I only recently started getting into basketball. Maybe when the PS4 is released I will finally give a sports game a chance. That new NBA live game that was showed at E3 does look promising and pretty much everyone I know is a fan of FIFA.

I've tried getting into sports video games but I just never found them interesting. My friends always liked playing NBA and FIFA together and I've always wanted to join them but I often get bored with those almost immediately, even as a spectator. The only exception for me would be Fight Night Champion which I've already made a thread on talking in lengths about how great it is. Also, I find the WWE and UFC/MMA games to be pretty entertaining too and they are very well made in my opinion.

I consider myself an all-round gamer; I'll try any genre or type once, but when it comes to sports games the magic simply isn't there. They always base the characters on the real life players and I feel that if there is any appeal to them at all, it's for that reason. Given this, only die-hard fans of the respective sports will really enjoy the full breadth of what they bring to the table. It may have worked for a wider audience in the past, but the other genres continue to evolve with each generation of console while these games seem to be largely at a stand-still recycling the same elements over and over again.

Then again, I'm not really a sports fan, this opinion might be different if I were.

Are the FIFA games as good as people say? I remember playing a demo for one, but I've never played a full game before. I like soccer in general, but I usually stick to Madden and NCAA football games as far as sports go.

I can't say that I'm a DIE HARD sports gamer but I can have a bit of fun with them from time to time.

Usually when I do play a sports game it's Madden simply because that's the only one I've really ever played that I liked. I remember playing the old Madden 98 and 2000 for hours on my PS1 all while having a pretty smashing time. The only other sports games I like would have to be the wacky or silly one's simply because I'm not that interested in playing sports unless it's real.

When I was younger I used to play a lot of the Fifa games on my PS 1 and then PS 2 but now I don't bother to be honest. My father on the other hand though really likes his Formula 1 games so he buys them every year. I find sports games to be too similar for my liking, for example if you play Fifa 2010, it won't be very much different from Fifa 2013. The fans of the series would probably disagree here but I don't buy into the idea of buying the same game every year but with a different title.

Only 1 well i have nba 2k12 but thats not a game i enjoyed i just got it because i enjoyed the demo but then when i actually played it was not the game i had played in the demo, the demo was much easier.

I play all sports game on ps3. I have played every sports game that comes out on ps3 each year. I like playing other games as well like Battle Field and adventure games but sports games are my favorite to me. It goes from Madden, NBA 2K, FIFA, MLB THE SHOW, Tiger Woods Golf etc

As much as I would like to be, I can't honestly label my self a diehard sports gamer. I have bought every NBA2K since 2004, I think. I have also bought all but one of the Fight Night games. I haven't bought a new Madden in a few years. I have never been any good at football games and when I play online I get dominated in a comedic fashion. I will aslo buy baseball and golf games every few years when I get bored.

I haven't cared about video game sports since I think junior high school. I don't waste my money on them anymore. And the only reason one is on my PS3 profile is because my nephew played on MY profile. So now I have to see the shame all the time....

Wait wait, do racing games count? Because then i could raise it to three or five games.
I think the only sports game i like is NBA Jam, that game is really fun with friends!

I mainly just play the NBA 2k games, but whenever I borrow Madden from I friend I play that. I don't play sports games as much as I do FPS games. I usually only play whenever I get tired of playing FPS games. If i'm too angry or just too bored, I just pop in NBA 2K13. It's a nice change every once in a while.
