How to play my own music from USB stick while playing games

Can anyone please tell me how I can listen to my OWN music in the background of playing games and the music is on my USB stick. Can anyone offer some advice I can't seem to figure it out on my own. I greatly appreciate the help guys n gals. :Onya:grin

It's a bit daft with a USB stick why couldn't they do it via saving MP3 MP4 WMV AVI & so on to our PS4's HDD

I'm not sure about the playback on the PS4 through the USB stick, but I would imagine you could use a different device to play the music pretty easily. If you have a computer, laptop, you could easily play your music from those, even hook up the audio to your main speakers or to your TV speakers. Some TV's even have USB ports with media playback, but it may not work while you are on different video inputs.

When I want to listen to my own music, I usually make my PS4 sound come from the TV speakers through the HDMI, then have my home theater receiver play the music. I usually just listen to Sirius satellite radio, but could easily play music through my receiver from other devices such as my PC or even another console like my PS3 or 360 could play the music for me if I had a playlist setup on there.
