How to record gameplay from PS3/and perhaps PS4?

I'm wondering how I can record my game-play, I am pretty decent at Black Ops 2 and like to just show off some Game-play. I can find a good recorder to use, I know they normally go for 100$ to 150$ for HD one's. I am obviously wanting that type. However, what is the best cheap"ish" recording device? Also, for my pc. Do you need USB slot 2.0 or 3.0? I believe my laptop has 2.0 on the left side, and 2 slots that are 3.0 on the right side. o.o

Anyway, sorry if my grammar and spelling is out of place. I'm pretty tired.

Perhaps something like this? --> Elgato Game Capture HD PlayStation 3/Xbox 360 Recorder for Mac and PC up to 1080P.

Our Elgato works great. I know that both the Xbox One and the PS4 are going to have gameplay recording though, so if you're getting a PS4, I'd just wait for that. Why spend extra money if you don't have to!
