How true are these Foxconn rumors

Is anyone taking the Foxconn intern sabotage rumors seriously? If you don't know a former intern claimed that he sabotaged a bunch of PS4's as revenge for how he was treated at the company. He claims to have messed with the thermal glue in the system but there's no way of knowing. However it looks like the rumor is getting a bunch of steam so who nows.

I've been wondering about this too, but I personally leaning towards not being true. I am assuming the security and quality checks at this factory are sound, otherwise they wouldn't be trusted by not only Sony, but Nintendo and Microsoft as well. It's still probably worth further investigation, if I were Sony, I'd want to find out if it's true.

Its kind of nuts, but i doubt their true. I do beleive that the factory conditions and the time to produce these things were horrible for them.

While I don't think it's true, I agree with the Doc. They should check into things to make sure it's not true or that nothing seems fishy and that just a few lemons got through.

Haha! That's great! If someone did that why would the tell on themselves anyway? I doubt it's real! I do agree that Sony should look into it however just in case so they don't end of with very angry customers from this, but no chance someone would tell on themselves openly without already being caught. That'd just be stupid of them!

They would tell to let people know why the small amount of consoles are acting up. Also it's possible to instill the sense that these aren't random hiccups with consoles as one would expect with a launch and to shine a bad light on the company, you know: Sony forces interns to make their consoles, Nintendo uses blood parts in their consoles, and Microsoft does...Microsoft stuff.
