How's the DualShock 4

I know we get attached to controllers, I've met gamers who've refused to give up on the original Xbox controller or the N64 controller. But now that Sony has released the PS4, we've got a brand new fancy controller with a lot of bells and whistles. So I'm asking current PS4 owners, how does the Dualshock 4 feel. Do the button placements feel good, is the touchpad responsive or do all the fancy tricks get in the way?
