Some glossy thing melt down around Lan and hdmi slot.
Is it normal?

My ps4, have had blue light death since the first day if it's arrival from amazon.
No signal on tv.
Never could play anything.
No overheating.

As others have said, opening it wasn't the smartest idea.. You may have voided any warranty you have for it. But that does not look normal at all. It seems you have spilled something in there or something may have melted due to overheating

You should've sent it back, but I guess this is kinda useful to see what kind of problems cause the Blue light of death.
It looks like it overheated and it melted part of the PCB, causing the other components to fail. I hope Sony explains why things like this happen.

you know by opening it up you have voided your warranty and sony wont replace it, just saying.

Void the warranty you did do. But if you got it from best buy. They won't know no different.
Or do what I have seen in the past. Buy a new console from target, walmart.
Open it up get your part. Then return it to the store.
Normally they would give you another console. But.
A console this hard to get ,right now, they will give you the money back.

Oh man that looks terrible, that PS4 died a lonesome death.

...and I think I am just repeating the obvious but opening it up wasn't the smartest idea.

Like a lot of people had said, you shouldn't have disassembled it because it voided your warranty but if you take it back to the store they won't know the difference. However the melty part might be the thermal glue. I could be getting my consoles mixed up but I had read that in some PS4's the thermal paste was melting and causing the console to malfunction. But don't take my word for it, there are plenty of online sources that talk about it.

You're right baracksnydel. Also the thermal paste melting was the crux of that sabotage rumor two weeks ago if I'm remembering correctly.

Yeah, that rumor hasn't been confirmed or denied but the issue remains that for a portion of the bricked PS4's the thermal paste was an issue. I don't know if it's the same thing here, but my recommendation is that if you don't know what you're doing just return the console. Try to see if the store still has a Ps4 and can exchange it for you.
