I'm the kinda guy most gamers love to hate.

I don't wanna play missions that tell where to go and dictate my every step and action. I cud give a rat's arse about the story.

I just wanna shoot people and blow stuff up and crash cars --- I just wanna blow off steam at the end of the day. Got to experience a lot of that action with Saints Row and GTA, but expected PS4 and Watch Dogs to deliver more. Instead, got the opposite. If you don't do exactly the stuff the designers want you to do, you drop dead. WTF......... how is that fun?

Does anybuddy know any way to just "free roam" (but not multiplayer) - just wanna cause havoc in my own world with no consequence................. Or am I completely SOL and have to get GTA V to get my rocks off? And does GTA V even got what I'm looking for...........?

Anyway to free roam? Just walk around and do not start a mission. Not sure what the issue is here. You are not forced to start a mission, lots of side quest stuff to do as well. Just start driving and go wherever you want to go. GTA V is much better though for the shooting and carnage stuff. I enjoyed Watch Dogs, but GTA V is just a better game. Better map, LARGER. Interesting characters, tons of side quests.

I agree with wonderings, Watch Dogs and GTA V are very similar, but GTA is better. If you have PSN, you can jump in a public session in multiplayer and begin your carnage action against real players and their cars. Of course, be prepared because they will shoot you back :grin
